Comfortable waterproof walking boots you can use as your everyday all-rounders.

Berghaus Expeditor AQ™ Ridge Walking Boots are light, tough and flexible, but will give you the grip and support you need for light hiking or any general off-road wear.

Their full-grain leather uppers also incorporate DWR-treated mesh, making them comfy and breathable but still totally weatherproof.

You're kept totally dry on the inside thanks to their waterproof AQ™ membrane, and the cleverly designed OPTI-STUD® Hiking outsole means you won't slip on uneven terrain, or drag mud around on the soles of your feet.

They're the weatherproof boots that are comfortable enough to wear all day every day!

Berghaus Expeditor boots are now approved and recommended by the Duke of Edinburgh’s award. Having been rigorously and independently tested by DofE expedition teams and leaders, the Expeditor has been given the seal of approval and now features on the DofE recommended kit list.

Berghaus' OPTI-STUD lug techology is engineered to match your movements and pressure contact with the ground. Larger studs take the force of impact, while linked smaller studs prevent distortion and push into the ground, giving you grip, braking, traction and anti-clogging performance.

    Women's Footwear Size Guide

    Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet.

Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Waterproof, comfy, reliable for low technical walking

Ive worn these almost daily for 3 yrs & only now need replacing. Very comfy, waterproof & sturdy, would buy again. Good for dog walks on the moors, mountain path walks & low level scrambling.

    Great Boots

These are great all round boots. There is no need to spend double on a set of boots these look good, feel good, work well.

    These are great boots

I've just bought a second pair of these boots. One for hill walking and one for general winter wear. They're really comfortable and supportive but look good enough for the city too.

    Disappointed

I’ve just taken these back after having only had them for 2 weeks. During recent wet weather they were useless - water just poured down the backs so I ended up with really soaking wet feet. I took the insoles out and dried them off but they now smell all musty and damp. I found that my toes were also wet so suspect they also leaked in the toe area. They’ve been sent back to Berghaus but the store manager said that water will get in them unless you wear gaiters. So my advice if you buy these shoes, is to stay off wet grass or buy gaiters at the same time you buy the boots. Pretty useless walking boots really.... I also found that painful plantar fasciitis returned after wearing them for two weeks, so avoid them if you are prone to this condition.

    Great boots

Brought these just before a holiday. Used every day for a week and they fit like a glove and kept my feet really dry through mud and boggy woods. Definitely worth every penny!

    Comfy but poor quality

I've had 2 pairs of these boots now. They are the comfiest walking boots I've ever had however, both pairs have split with a year. Yes Berghaus will replace but you need to send them back for inspection but it takes weeks to get your refund/replacement.

    rubbish

bought these boots in August 2015 at first highly delighted as they were comfy and light. but after 8 months they started splitting where the gortex is attached to the leather. Eventually Berghaus agreed they were faulty and replaced. again all seemed fine to begin with but once again after 10 months this second pair is now splitting in the same place but worse the leather is also splitting this time.
    wouldn't recommend.

    worst ever

Originally purchased these boots in August 2016. After 10 months the stitching was coming under and the gortex was splitting. after complaining to Berghaus and returning the boots AT MY OWN EXPENSE I received a replacement pair. Low and behold these have now split in exactly the same place after 10 months. what a waste of money. Never buy Berghaus again - total rubbish. only given one star as I am unable to give non.

    Great quality and good value

My last pair of boots were Berghaus and they lasted me 12 years. I was keen to get the same brand and these feel excellent quality and will hopefully last me just as long.

    Good discounted leather boots

The best thing about these is they are easy to keep waterproofed. A clean and then use Grangers wax. My wife bought these and finds them comfortable but maybe a bit too warm for summer. I have the mens version and can't fault them for comfort. Roughly 300 miles and a few Munros and lots of other hills. I price matched and got a real bargain.

    Wet Feet

I have had these boots for less than a year and now every time I walk the dog my feet are soaking wet. They have broken at the toe line so I have two holes in each boot. They were originally quite good but they have not lasted. For £100 pair of boots you expect them to last longer.

    Brilliant!

I've had these for just under a year and can honestly say they've stood up to the tests thrown at them. As a scout leader you need reliable boots as you're out pretty much every week either with the pack, troop or even other leaders. I've certainly not been disappointed and would hands down buy these again. Warm, dry feet, comfortable out of the box, supportive in all the places needed...couldn't want for more in a boot.

    Brilliant straight out the box

    I love these boots.
My trusty old boots "died" a week before a walking weekend. I bought these Berghaus with little chance to break them in - but I didn't need to! They were fine for 2 miles that day and 6 miles the next day and 16 miles two days later.
I have not had any problems with wet or sore feet and the boots have done more than 250 miles now over Dartmoor and the South West Coast Path. I do clean and treat the leather regularly.
In fact I'm so pleased with them I'm going to buy another pair so I don't have the same problem when these eventually wear out.

    Lasted less than a year

I am an experienced walker, and bought Berghaus as a trusted name in the outdoor world. What a disapointment! These boots only lasted aroundy a year or less they started to leak on the top and toe. I had Berghaus look at them and they said it was due to wear. After a year?!! As I rarely walk more than 5 miles, and not more than twice a week I feel very disapointed that these boots couldn't cope with that amount of wear. By buying the , before now, trusted brand of Berghaus, I presumed the boots would stand up to a reasonable amount of wear. My NorthFace boots, of a similar design, also fabric type, lasted quite a few years, and had racked up far more milage and were cared for in the same way as the Berghaus ones . Berghaus did give me a discount voucher for more boots but I won't be using it....I expect my boots to last for longer than a year, despite Go Outdoors excellent low prices!

    disappointed

I bought these boots about 4 months ago, on the strength of a pair of berghaus boots I had owned for 10 years and had to reluctantly replace as the sole gave way. I was hoping that for £99 I was getting a new pair of berghaus that would be just as good, however I am quite disappointed. The positive is that they are extremely comfortable, and for the first few weeks I was really pleased - until I went out on a wet day. The material tongue lets water in - not great but I would have worked round this had one of the metal rivets not snapped as I tied my laces. Sorry to say Berghaus.... but these are a bit of a let down !

    absolutely gutted :(

granted i bought these at the sale price of £99, however for nearly a 100 quid one tends to expect that the product purchased will do the job it was intended for.

i had a pair of brashers that lasted me 10 years... i bought these berghaus boots 2 weeks ago, and yesterday, after taking the dog for a 1.5hr walk, i got home and my feet were soaking. i'm SERIOUSLY disappointed in this product, i thought nearly 100 was a decent enough amount to spend on something to expect quality, i was clearly wrong.. gutted as i now need new waterproof footwear to take my dog out. do not buy these, they will let you down like they have me.

    Love them!!

I have had these for a couple of months now and can say they are brilliant! Kept my feet warm and dry, as well as being comfortable straight out of the box. As a scout leader I'm out a lot on walks etc with the pack and these have stood up to the tests thrown at them. Would certainly buy again!
