A powerful, regulated and programmable head torch, with a choice of lighting levels and modes.
The Petzl MYO® RXP is their first regulated and programmable head torch, which lets you choose the order of lighting levels and precisely adapt the light output.
It has three lighting modes, so you can select the power from among ten possible levels (from 8 to 140 lumens), allowing the MYO® RXP to be programmed for the type of activity and the length of use that you need. For example, maximum power lighting would suit a short night run, and less powerful lighting would help preserve battery life so would be ideal for a multi-day trek.
Compatible with lithium batteries, the MYO® RXP performs well even at low temperatures.
The Wide Angle lens offers the option of switching instantly from a focused beam to a wide beam when necessary.
Perfect for endurance activities, the MYO® RXP has a battery life of up to 95 hours, and a low weight of 175g (including batteries).
Its compact design and low weight (175g including batteries) also make it ideal for longer tasks, treks or climbs. The elastic headband is easily adjusted and a top strap is included, but not attached, for increased stability when you need it.

I have used many head torches over the years, mostly Petzl. This one has to be the smallest and the brightest. I fitted the "over the head" strap as that is what I am used to and it is perfect. The wide angle is bright and gives great coverage, but when the dog runs out of the beam it is easy to switch to the narrow beam and find him. Great torch, and worth the price.

Makes winter-"walkies" easy
I bought this so I could walk the dogs on the heath and keep my hands-free for holding leads and other dog-related "jobs". It's brilliant. I use the spot mode as this affords maximum visibility where you "aim" and illuminates the periphery sufficiently. I haven't walked the dogs in complete darkness yet so I can't vouch for the 97m range.
