As you'd expect from any Rab product this jacket is good quality, light weight and robust. I wanted a jacket that could act as a warm layer to keep out the wind on blustery days but would pack down to fit easily into my daysack when it wasn't needed and this jacket doesn't disappoint. The material is softer and more flexible than cheaper/traditional soft shells. I would advise going a size up from what you normally wear I'm a 10 but got a 12 and it is a good fit with space to wear a baselayer underneath. The sleeves are a little long but the adjustable cuffs stop that being too much of an issue. All round worth the money.

What a delight of a jacket. I wasn't sure it would do what I wanted which was a light everyday jacket that would put up with most things. This does it in style. Nice and warm against heavy wind waterproof to resist persistent rain and light enough to not weigh you down and sweat alot.

I would recommend this jacket for use in pretty much anything other than heavy rain. It's nice and snug with a fleece wicking lining making sure your core temperature is regulated so you don't get too hot. I often wear it for cycling, or colder weather hiking and high intensity activities but it's great as an everyday jacket as it's so light and comfortable. It's got super tough lightweight fabric which is pretty resistant to abrasion as I have often chucked a lot of stuff at it. It is a soft shell jacket and therefore isn't waterproof and I've found the outer fabric is not particularly water resistant so if it's raining, it quickly becomes damp. However, great as a layering piece under a waterproof or outer jacket in really bad weather.
Top effort from Rab on this one.

This is one of my favourite coats. I have had it for 4 months and it's been so useful. Very usfull and warm on cooler days. I do have an issue with it though, there are zips under arm for ventilation and they have rubbed the material badley
Lightweight, warm, good sleeve lengths and hood size( I do have a large head and often hoods do not fit). I virtually live in this now. I'm outside a lot in all weathers and this has covered all eventualities so far.

My favourite piece of kit
I bought my Rab Vapour-rise softshell last autmn and have been wearing it all winter. Even on the coldest of days it's very effecting at cheating the wind and more often than not I've simply worn it with a long-sleeved base layer. Only when it's been very cold have I had to add a micro fleece layer. I love the way the hood fits and the main zipper comes up high to provide extra snugness and when the going gets too warm the pit zips are a great way of venting. It will certainly stand a light shower although, naturally, I've not worn it in a downpour. My absolute favourite item of outdoor clothing.
