Great, but could be excellent

Great trousers that are comfy and warm to wear. I bought another pair in a different colour immediately after a day wearing the first one's.
If only they had zips or even velcro on the pockets...

lined trouser

some reviews are right side pockets not deep enough they need to be made deeper so you don't lose nothing but they do keep your legs warm on a very cold day CRAGHOPPERS need to be made aware of this issue.

Keep warm

Great trousers these and they are now the second pair I have ordered so I always have one when the other is in the wash. If you walk in the cold these are the ones for you

Craghoppers Basecamp winter lined trousers

I bought these as I needed waterproof trousers & didn't want the fuss of over trousers & I've had Craghoppers walking trousers before & been impressed. I am slightly disappointed in that unlike their other trousers there was only one zipped rear pocket & no secure side pockets so no practical way to carry money, keys wallet etc without using a bumbag. Also they are not waterproof but, (to be fair to Craghoppers they only state "water repellent") it did take a thorough soaking before a slight dampness was felt at the top of my leg. Put in more pockets Craghoppers & I'd buy another pair.

Craghoppers Basecamp winter lined trousers

Warm and a comfortable fit but the main side pockets are a bit shallow.

Perfect for a really cold PA winter

I ordered 2 pairs of these for my sons to help deal with waiting for the school bus and walking from one school site to another in temperatures down to -18C for our first winter in Pennsylvania. They were much appreciated and have done an excellent job of keeping them warm.

Delivery was very impressive as I ordered them on a Wednesday evening (UK time) and received them on the following Monday afternoon.

Lack of zipped pockets

There are 2 versions of these trousers. The kiwi and the basecamp. These are a version with less features than the kiwi such as zipped pockets & a belt. In my opinion it's worth waiting for the kiwi ones to be on offer as there are superior to the basecamp version

Very shallow pockets

Nice, warm trousers.but the the two main pockets are really shallow. My hands only partly fit into them.

The pockets are uselessly shallow

What idiot is responsible for "designing" such a useless piece of essential facility!

Buying my 3rd pair

Really like these trousers they keep the chill off when worn alone and are a comfy midlayer between thermals and waterproofs in winter. I've lost my brown pair I had so I'm replacing them. The other pair I have in black and are still going strong after few years and they've been used multiple times a week. They dry quickly and are soft to the touch. I've finally found the extra pocket someone mentioned. The zip pockets either side are ideal for phone in one and loose change in other. The thigh pockets are big and have compartments inside.

Top value for money

I bought this product just for dog walking, but to be honest I wished I bought another pair. I am very please with this product. They are very warm and comfortable, and very good for the money. Thank you.

Pretty good value

Unlike other reviewers I've no issues with pockets, they seem plenty deep enough to me.
Good value warm and not bad fitting trouser. Yet to see about durability

good value

Look to be well made
As other have said the main pockets are too shallow
I get quite a lot of static electricity on the legs which cause the trousers to cling to my legs.
Nice and warm

Good not perfect

This trousers are very comfortable and not bad looking and are currently available at a great price, however that is offset by the inexcusable design of the shallow pockets, as mentioned by others. Can't really understand why a respected brand makes such a simple error that if corrected, would result in 4/5 stars all the way. I once had some french connection trousers in which I had a very small mobile phone that fell out of my pocket and subsequently lost. I would have no chance with my iPhone 6 plus wearing these. All is not lost though and I am taking these to a tailor who is going to add zips to the pocket for me, which will cost £8 pushing the cost back up to near normal store price. A small price to prevent losing your valuables, but a wholly avoidable exercise.

Why the shallow pockets?

As the title line, why the shallow pockets. I bought a pair and returned them as the pockets are too shallow to provide a half decent level of security for the contents.

Craghoppers Basecamp Winter Lined Trousers

I am a fisherman and oyster farmer and wear these all winter in ALL weathers-Excellent. Great value, warm, comfortable, tough, dry quickly. Lose a star as the crutch tends to split, caused by the abuse I put them through climbing in and out of boats wearing chest waders.
