I bought these last year to give me time to walk in before a trip to Patagonia. They didn't need walking in - I wore them that afternoon on a 3 hour hike with no problems.
I developed one or two blisters throughout my 2 month trip in Patagonia, however they performed brilliantly on 20km walks and 3 day treks over rocks and rough terrain

Great boot if only stayed waterproof!
I am now on my third pair of these boots as each pair has leaked, even though I followed advice on cleaning and proofing. 1st pair started leaking just over 2 years so outside guarantee and 1 week before walking Hadrians Wall, so bought another pair as they are very comfy and don't need breaking in. These lasted 13 months so shop sent them to Salomon who agreed they were faulty and replaced them. This pair hasn't lasted 11 months before leaking around side of toes (the same as the others), so off to swap for a different pair this time. If they didn't leak, these would be perfect boots as they are so comfortable and light, but feel tough enough for rough terrain. My first pair of Salomons lasted 12 years without leaking, so something is not right.

Great all-round boot
These boots are a superb fit for my slightly narrower than usual feet. I feel like my heel is held in place when walking, and I don't need to over tighten the laces like I had to in the past with my cheap, entry-level walking boots I started out with.
The size is a more true-to-size fit than Salmon snowboarding boots, which is good to see. I'm a size 6 usually and the size 6 fits me perfectly, but Salomon boarding boots tend to come up small for some reason.
I didn't need to wear these boots in as they were immediately comfortable for a short afternoon hike in wet conditions (walking for about 4 hours).
The thing I like most is that they have fully removable liners. I over pronate and get a lot of pain my arch when walking as a result, but the removable foot bed means for longer walks, I'll swap out with the custom orthotics I prefer to wear.
Brilliant grip, great stability, good sizing; very happy so far. I'd have liked a bit more purple/pink to make the boot stand out a bit is my only minor gripe so far!

Best boots Ever!!
I have got through a lot of walking boots over the years but these boots surpass them all. Waterproof , supportive and extremely comfortable. I am going to buy another pair so I have some more when these eventually wear out which I don't think will be anytime soon!

Hiked the Rockies - no blisters
Bought these 1 week before a 2.5 week trip to the Canadian Rockies, so no time to break them in. Waterproofed the exteriors with Nik-Wax for fabric & leather before setting off and they were brilliant. Despite hiking 180 miles, and climbing 21,000 feet, I had zero blisters, no dampness (and we did hike in rain and on one occasion through foot-deep snow), and no slips - even on wet wood and rocks. So impressed I'm considering buying a second pair!
