Women's Footwear Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet.

Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Only wide enough walking shoe that I have ever found

Second pair I have bought - nothing wrong with first pair but my feet are smaller so I’ve relegated first pair to garden duties. Using this pair for work on game reserve for a month. Very comfortable with good support and plenty of room around my bunions. Can’t fault shoe.

Excellent quality walking shoes

Purchased these for an African safari trip. Outstanding purchase_ high quality product, superb comfort and fairly lightweight compared to other walking shoes. Memory foam insoles made for very comfortable longer duration wear. Very pleased with this item.

Heaven to wear

This is my second pair of Meindl Philadelphia waking shoes. My originals are still going strong, despite over two years of heavy wear. I look after them and treat them properly and I think they will be a friend for a good few years yet. The quality of the Nubuck is such that, on the rare occasion when the mud and dirt hasn’t wrinsed off, a gentle brush is all that is needed, by way of encouragement. Well made, a good width and ample ‘wiggle’ room for your toes, makes them extremely comfortable and true pleasure to walk in.

Plenty of room for forefoot and toes but really bruising around ankles

At first I loved these shoes and they are probably the roomiest for the forefoot on the market. However, they are very unyielding around the ankles and I eventually used a Stanley knife to cut them down.and reglued them. That was surprisingly effective and as I have suspected for a long time, there really is no need for shoes to be so high on the ankle. They don't slop even though they are roomy. However, these shoes are not lasting well - the stitching on the forefoot has split and I've had to reglue a heel back on.after relatively little wear.

Fantastic pair of walking boots

I’ve just bought my second pair of these boots having worn the first pair daily for dog walking for the last 2 years. They were comfortable from day one and fit my very wide feet well. The additional width was my main reason for choosing these boots.

The first pair have developed a small leak, but I confess that I have not looked after them at all. I will treat the new pair with more respect and wax them regularly.

I hope that these boots will always be available - I can’t see any reason why I would ever buy a different pair.
