A versatile headtorch that comes with Petzl's innovative CORE battery.
Lightweight and powerful, with two different beams, the Petzl ACTIK CORE is ideal for outdoor sports. It gives an impressive 350 lumens of power which, combined with its mixed beam, makes it ideal for outdoor activities like mountaineering, running, hiking and backpacking.
The red lighting mode preserves night vision and prevents you from blinding your companions. The reflective headband aids visibility, and is equipped with an emergency whistle for rescue situations.
Recent purchase to replace a much used and abused Petzl head torch. First impressions are great. Really like the option to switch between rechargeable and lithium batteries. Very bright in full setting. Real test will come next month in the Andes.

Really pleased with the light. Good beam and strap felt comfortable around the head. Thought it was a little pricey and would have liked to be able to adjust the angle a bit more but was good visibility when doing night time walks in Snowdonia.

I looked at all of the options & thought why on earth do I want to pay for one with bluetooth. This is bright, with different settings, works well & simply & has red light too. What more does anyone need? This is an excellent choice & great value.

Well made, professional head torch
Am trying Petzl after being a Black Diamond fanatic for a number of years. Quick feedback after a couple of uses. 1) Good range of settings and brightness
2) Battery that is rechargeable is great, and have managed to combine it with a solar powered charger to theoretically extend its use infinitely
Couple of downsides
1) It doesn't feel as well made as the Black Diamond Cosmo (my other headtorch). Just a little more plasticky
2) It doesn't have the dimmer setting that I am forever using on the Cosmo
All in all, a good headtorch, that sits between ultra professional £100 plus torches and the cheaper, tacky £15 ones!
