Vango quality is and design is getting worse, on newer tents
This used to be a good tent, but I have noticed that all newer Vango tents have a marked deterioration in both quality and design..Vango used to set a standard for design and quality, but not any more.

Easy to put up / Large pack size / light enough. Wouldn't say suitable for 2 people. Low headroom. Sturdy in heavy wind. maybe pack in seperate dry bags - yet to try this. Good value for money.

Various quality concerns.
Broken pole too! Over-stitched internal seam and general impression there are many better models and alternatives at this price point. Shop around folks, it's a good style but poorly executed :/

Survived the GR20 = tough tent
Had this 7 summers of heavy use, still good as new. 15 nights on the GR20 in Corsica, 150km toughest mountain walk in Europe, lying on stony ground. Also Connemara & Mayo gale force winds & rain!

Pole broke on first use - terrible quality - ruined trip
The pole broke on first use and ruined my camping trip as the pole was so bent it wouldn't even fit into the 'repair tube' provided.
Very poor quality for the price. No reply from customer service.

Did the job
The tent is well made and has a good gap between inner and fly sheet so you do keep dry. Easy to put up as its foot print is so small. Stands up to strong winds. After 3 nights in rain and snow found one of the clips between the inner and outer had broken only the safty catch so the tent was still fine.

I have used this tent in 60mph winds and downpours great little tent and holds up well to all weather conditions.
Only downside would be a built in footprint for the entrance as a bit of water came in (but not in to the tent)

This is NOT A MOUNTAIN TENT
This is not a mountain tent.
We had this tent out in the southern highlands on a high level camp.
Whilst the weather was completely rotten, driving rain and winds it did keep the rain out until the main pole snapped right Through the fly sheet.
The unfortunate person ( not me ) that had this tent did however rough it out morning where the extent of the damage resulted in it being brought off the hill and binned.
This is not a mountain tent at all.
The MOUNTAIN TENTS that we all did have like hillibergs and F10’s survived will no damage at all.
Please don’t be fooled as this Banshee although had survived plenty low level camps did not survive on its first MOUNTAIN adventure,
Please don’t get caught out as it’s a long was down a mountain at 2am in the dark.

What a tent
Before I bought the tent I did a lot of research into light weight backpacking tents. It’s advertised as a 2 man but my research indicated the 200 pro is more suited as a 1 man with all your gear and this view is spot on, if you’re wanting a 2 man then I’d recommend buying the 300 pro version. The tent is very light weight and gives excellent value for money. Pitching the tent is very easy and the pitch time is around 7 minutes. There’s a handy storage porch when set up, this was capable of storing my pack, and boots. I’d highly recommend this tent to anyone.

Good lightweight Tent
I did alot of homework before buying this tent and after previously having the larger 300 I knew I could trust Vango. The tent is lightweight which was the best feature for me, when hiking nothing gets you more down than carrying too much weight. Me and my m8 (both 175cm tall, average build ) slept in it well, cozy but not too much, good space between inner & outer for shoes and side water at night. Not too much headroom so don't buy this if you want the tent for relaxation, also the fly sheet door zips open from the lower side rather than up top which is quite annoying,it means you have to sit up to open the fly net In every instance, would imagine theres a reason for it but i have no idea why. All in all very happy.

Only for midgets
I bought this for going off weekends on my motorbike. First off, 2 man it isn't I'm 6ft tall and you sleep with the inner tent resting on your face, I had to sleep with the inner doors open due to lack of ventilation made me feel sick, also the condensation inside means even if it doesn't rain the it's still wet.
The 2 stars are from with 5000mm hydrostatic head meant when it does rain you won't get any wetter than the condensation.

The 2018 Vango banshee pro trekk
The pro version as better poles and ripstop flysheet along with a great colour inner. The prima colour is like a pea green it's very dull compared to the 2017 model. Also apart from the flysheet door - they've not used the zip u hooks opting for abit of cut off guide rope which is shame amd feels less quality from the previous. The tent is great like all banshees are but I'm hoping for a see through inner flysheet door just like the boot door at the head end of the tent were you can choose to have mesh or see you not so when you are in your tent you can see out. Anyway overall a great solid tent as always just was expecting a little more on the new version. I would highly recommend it.
