Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expeditions,
I deliver mail in all weather and I’ve never had an issue with wet feet in these midi’s (always toasty & dry) the only issue I’ve had is they are quite a snug fit across the toes and wearing walking socks with them can be quite uncomfortable after a while.

Utter nonsense that these are waterproof, just from morning dew my feet are soaking.
Rained overnight my feet are dripping wet.

Leaky and tatty
I bought a pair of Salomons as my last two pairs have been marvellous, robust and reliable. This pair however, are not - I've only been using them for 2 weeks, and their first brush with slightly wet, longish grass resulted in very soggy feet. I think calling them waterproof is simply untrue! They also look a bit tatty round the seams, unfortunately they will be going back.

Not so waterproof
Comfortable boots however not really waterproof. Got caught in heavy shower on a 5 mile walk and feet wet by the time I finished. Will be returning them.

Fantastic, comfortable boots. Great fit and comfort from the outset with a long walk straight away. Also, excellent service in store with credit to the staff.

My wife bought a pair when her old Salomons were wearing out.
She wore them for about 110km over 2 weekends before we needed to return them.
They were as waterproof as expected, and comfortable, with good grip.
The problem was with the construction. The inner sole has 2 sections - an interior "ortholite" cushion and a surrounding narrow ring - the cushion had started to separate from the ring on one boot, and was fraying on the other.
It could have been a one off for the boot, a bad batch, or a problem with the model as a whole. Rather than risking having to return a 2nd pair she decided to switch to another brand instead.

Worth every penny
I bought these as a summer alternative to my much loved, leather Berghaus hiking boots for dog walking. I love them. I had excellent advice in the Chester store. These boots are ridiculously comfortable. I have just walked 5 miles across country in them for the 1st time and they are fantastic. They are incredibly lightweight and I would definitely recommend them.

My husband bought me these for Valentine's day , (better than chocolates or flowers)
I wanted them for walking my dogs around the local areas.
I walk about 20 miles a week so not as much as some , however this will exceed as the weather improves.
The boots are wonderful.
I have never had a pair so comfortable , with no rubbing or discomfort .
They are super quality and well made .
I love them .
I 've walked around 40 miles so far and loved every mile .
I would recommend and will buy again .

Exemplary design, good looks, and self-cleaning
As expected, these boots are exceptionally well-designed, with key features every walking boot: should aspire to: support, stability, traction, and genuinely waterproof. As with all Saloman, good looks are as important as technical features, and this pair drew unsolicited compliments all round. Best of all, despite sinking into Dartmoor bogs, dry mud brushes off with ease ... practically self-cleaning!
Only downside due to this reviewer's protruding ankle bones, which chafed on the first few treks, but are now 'broken in'.
Well worth the price tag and highly recommended.
