Ten years in, Osprey’s Talon packs are as useful as ever.
Providing everything you need for long periods outdoors, the Osprey Talon 22 keeps your gear accessible, its weight distributed and your back ventilated all at once.
These latter two aspects are handled by the AirScape™ accordion foam backpanel and seamless lumbar-to-hipbelt body wrap. These increase the airflow, spread the burden and, along with the adjustable back length, provide a generally more comfortable carrying experience..
With a great design across the board, the bag incorporates everything from trekking pole and ice axe attachments to various quick-access external pockets to go with the large main compartment.
The whole bag can be compressed with the InsideOut™ straps, and any hydration reservoirs can be refilled with an external hydration sleeve and reservoir hanging loop.
With numerous other features, attachments and considerations, the Talon is a truly versatile hiking rucksack, one that you can depend on for years of service on your adventures.

Adjustable Back System,
I LOVE this bag. It is incredibly comfortable when walking and cycling. It has just one large section and one small section which, is great because you don’t have to go hunting through loads of pockets to find something. It does not look that big but I can fit loads in it. I use it everyday and it appears to be very good quality.

Osprey talon day sack
This bag is very comfy on your back and shoulders probley the best I have ever owned . The only issue and its not a major one is the pockets on the waist strap , brilliant for easy access but if you pack them they become bulky and stick out so when you walk the pockets rub on your fore arm.i noticed this on a 8 mile walk and emptied the pockets which worked fine .but it does kind of leave the two little pockets redundant. Other than that I still think it's the best day sack I have owned and I have been enjoying the outdoors for over 30 years

Tallon 22 ... great bag
After reading various reviews I knew what to expect with this bag, to sum it up its ideal for my needs.... day walking.
I’ve recently started walking again and this bag was highly recommend by various people on and offline and I can see why. It’s lightweight, ventilated, has great functionality and extremely comfortable to walk with. I’d highly recommend it.

Used for any overnight stay, family walk in the country and a day at the beach. A very well thought out bag with lots of space and all at a very good price, would but again.

It’s alright but...
Bought last minute when my cheaper rucksack gave up just before supervising a DofE trip. Was delivered just in time. It’s a good quality and comfortable rucksack with adequate capacity for a day walk. I must have misread the description and assumed that it came with a waterproof cover and was caught out on a very wet few days when I realised my mistake! It did however manage to only get a little damp on the inside which was pretty impressive. I did find that when the water bladder is in place and hooked on to the clip it pulls the top of the bag down which then makes the top pocket more difficult to open.

Great day pack
This is a really comfortable and well made day pack, perfect for hiking. I used it for a 200km+ hike in Spain and it is very comfortable. The load sits close to your back so never overbalanced. There is room for two water bottles in the side pockets and the mesh pocket on the back of the pack is ideal for your waterproof gear. The hip pockets are great for odds and ends like a camera, phone, compass or snacks etc and the hiking pole straps do allow you to stow or retrieve poles on the move. The only drawback for me was that the airscape system didn't keep me dry, but then the weather was very hot, so perhaps an unfair test. Will definitely buy another Osprey pack next year for a longer hike carrying all my gear.
