Montane transition 60 Duffle Bag
I bought this bag for a weeks trekking in the Atlas mountains where I knew it would be placed in the panniers of a mule. The bag held everything I needed for the week including some giveaways and fitted nicely in the panniers. It’s a good size bag, very light and seems robust. I like the lime green lining (black with green lining and trim) which reflects light making it easy to locate things in the bag. The shoulder straps are adjustable and comfortable which makes the bag easy to transport on the back & the corner gabs are useful too. The bag has internal compression straps, is well manufactured and gives the feel of a quality product.
However the bag has one major flaw. Having the carry handles anchored at each corner of the bag, means that when you lift the bag when only partially full, it sags in the middle and bellows out which catches the bottom of your legs when walking. Annoying! This is something I had not considered when buying the bag and which makes me wonder if the bag designers actually field tested the bag before bringing it to market. Still, if you are aware of this flaw and can live with it you will find it a good product.
