The Berghaus Women's Skye Waterproof Jacket is a great choice for hikers, designed to keep them fully protected and comfortable in even the harshest weather.Made from Hydroshell Elite 2.5 layer fabric, it's highly breathable, waterproof and lightweight, having fully taped seams and a DWR layer which just adds to the overall water repellency.
When you need to seal yourself in you have a fully adjustable roll-away hood with a wired peak, two zipped hand-warmer pockets, adjustable bonded cuff tabs and a drawcord hem adjustment.
By adding AGENTIUM technology to the comfortable lining , it not only cuts down on odours but it's hoped that there will be less desire to wash as often - a great benefit to the environment.
Having spoken to countless trekker's completing the famous West Highland Way, Berghaus have carefully considered each detail of the jacket, including the impact on the environment with regards aftercare.

ARGENTIUM is a Berghaus exclusive Baselayer technology that offers odour resistance properties through the use of silver ion technology. It also provides UV blocking properties achieved through the use of UV absorbers and optimised knit structure. Another key benefit is it's moisture management and wicking properties, delivered through the use of a denier gradient knit structure and/or channelled yarns. ARGENTIUM is available in a variety of weights and knit structures.

Perfect for walking
Received as a gift after great advice in store.
Lightweight but completely waterproof. Lots of nice design details that are useful like a weight on the hood to stop it blowing up in winds, inside pockets, good zips... Would definitely recommend for leisure or walking/ hiking.
I have the size up to allow for fleece / wearing a hoody underneath otherwise I think the jacket would be true to size.

Light and comfortable to wear, lovely fit and neat look. Not yet tested in extreme weather - heading to Scottish islands soon!

Bought this coat with some great advice from staff at the store, bought for walking in cold wet and windy weather conditions and it's served its purchase, great coat fully waterproof and keeps the wind out but breathable. Adjustable hood with a peak for the rain, highly recommend
