A great entry-level rucksack for those starting out in multiday treks and expeditions.
Perfect for both beginners and seasoned outdoor adventures, the Berghaus Trailhead 65 Rucksack is an ideal choice - built for simplicity and comfort.
The large 65 litre capacity is enough to carry all of your backpacking essentials, while the multitude of pockets let you store and organise your gear to suit.
While on the move you have easy access to the fixed side pockets, a top lid pocket and a couple of side bottle pockets, whilst inside the base compartment you will also find a handy bivi divider.
The BIOFIT 'on the move' back length adjustment system, height-adjustable removable chest strap, top tension straps and pre-curved hipbelt, all combine to give you a comfortable fit and keep your load stable and secure.
Walking-pole fixings, and gear attachment points on the lid, allow you to keep your walking accessories close to hand, while the ability to add a hydration system will let you easily quench your thirst.

Adjustable Back System,
I used this pack for a DofE bronze hike and another of an equivalent length. The pack has held up without any damage and the many loopholes on the outside are great for strapping your tent, sleeping bag or roll mat although I recommend you put the roll mat or sleeping bag in dry bags first! My main issues is that the hip strap was too big at the time and it couldn't get any smaller and that the place for a hydration pack is poor and I prefer water bottles

Agree with other reviews. Bought for my son's DofE bronze, just the right size, robust, could strap in a two man tent on the bottom of the pack, really liked the biofit system, no complaints from teenage son after a 12 mile walk, overnights, and 12 mile walk back. Agree that side compression could be better hence 4 stars.

Great fitting bag
Had this bag around 2 months now. Used mainly for overnighters wild camping and just recently 6 days on the Ridgeway. Easily took all of my gear and still had room, had around 16kg on day one and with the biofit back system managed to get a comfortable fit with the weight on my hips not shoulders. Easily adjustable in the field too. Side pockets need to be filled before main compartment or lose space and the zips are a real pain to use, I found folding the rain flap out the way helps. The divider at the bottom of the bag isn't much good either as let's smaller items fall into bottom compartment. I unclipped mine and didn't bother with it. Lack of side compression straps too but overall a great size bag that's comfy to wear and take punishment. Built in rain cover is a sensible colour and fits well although with trekking poles attached to bag it doesn't completely cover the sides, could be a little wider to allow for this. Would have had 5 stars if not for the minor points noted above

Bought this rucksack about two months ago, great size for a couple of days trekking through Norway. It's good tough material and has plenty of space. A couple of points -
The side pockets could do with being a little bigger as they are tight and a bit difficult to zip up even with quite smallish items in them.
Also you have to make sure the straps holding the lid/pocket are clipped in before unzipping the pocket on the lid as if you don't the contents of it will fall out everywhere, which is pretty annoying when your in a dark forest!
