Great product ruined

Have used the Craghoppers kiwi pro shorts for years, wear them travelling, walking, climbing and even working, have several pairs of the 2016-2017 shorts in various colours, decided to update to the new style early spring, bad move, what have they done to such a brilliantly designed item of clothing? The fabric is pretty much the same, tough, stretchy and water resistant, and are also a good 2.5-3 inches shorter, but the new design leaves a lot to be desired, the zips feel cheap and flimsy and keep binding on the fabric around them where they’ve tried to conceal the zips, the leg pocket that was extremely useful on the left leg used to be an extra panel on the exterior so it expanded to accommodate contents has now migrated again to the right leg and is now just a slit in the fabric with a mesh bag holding the contents uncomfortably against your leg, again with a flimsy binding zip that seems awkward as it opens backwards? Belt loops appear to be a cheap afterthought and don’t look like they’ll last long. As for the fit they’re ok, if you want a pair of stretchy, soft shell shorts to wear in the summer months then these are great, just don’t expect to be able to carry anything efficiently in your pockets or have any of the features that made their previous incarnations some of the best available

Poor redesign of a good product

Last year's version of these shorts was far superior - elasticated waste, strong belt loops, much better zips on pockets. Craghoppers have made a mistake downgrading these shorts!

I DON'T LOVE THEM LIKE I USED TO

I really liked Craghopper shorts; I've had 5 pairs over the years: hard wearing with LOTS of pockets, even a belt. But, the standard has slipped: fewer pockets; cheaper belts. Kiwi Pros are different, of course - they have stretch which is good, and the pocket on the leg takes my phone - but there are only 3 other pockets (though they are all zipped) And there's NO belt, now. And I REALLY don't like the belt carriers – they're like an afterthought, tacked on in thin material – ‘cheap’ comes to mind. I have the feeling that Craghoppers are trying to keep prices down (it's a competitive market, I accept) but at the price of quality and aesthetics. They need to realise there is a market for good quality shorts out there!

Kiwi shorts

Have been looking for a decent pair of shorts, that fit well and am really impressed with these. They have a really nice feel. Secure zipped front pockets are a decent size and there is even a small cloth for cleaning your glasses. Will be buying another pair soon.
