Scarpa footwear is made in European sizes, which allows for a more accurate fit as the 'gaps' between sizes are smaller. Each European size is roughly 3/4 of a UK size.
As with all walking footwear, we advise moving up a size from your normal shoe size to allow room for thicker socks and for your feet to expand during a long walk. If you fall between sizes you should always go for the larger size.
We have trained footwear advisors in all of our stores - if you have trouble finding the right boot for you please pay us a visit and we'll be happy to help. You can also find out more about choosing, fitting and caring for walking footwear in our online Footwear Buying Guide.
Purchased 6 months ago, stiff to start with but thought they would wear in. The sole is rock hard and can only do a couple of miles in them. The toes rub on inner lining making blister. Don’t buy
I found these comfy and waterproof. The sole has only lasted a couple of yrs and is not replaceable according to Scarpa. Stitching is also susceptible - Scarpa replaced my 1st pair, but gone again!
Probably the most uncomfortable shoe I have owned. The internal stitching rubbed the skin off my toes. Very heavy and stiff. Tried to wear them in with zero success. Hence only 1 star.
Top price but they don't cut it. I had mine for about six months and walked an estimated 900 miles. Despite looking after them properly the side seams have split so they are now useless. Not happy.
Had mine for about 8 years, used nearly every day for walking the dogs in all sorts of places and weather. Only now coming apart at the seams, but plenty of life left in them.
First impressions were great. But after 6 months, the soles are done. Very disappointing value for money. Won't be buying again
I got these for a sale price and have worn them most days for walks for 15 months -comfortable,now sole is worn out and stitching is splitting. Agree with other comments about poor quality sole
Why Scarpa didn't bond a proper vibram sole on this shoe, beats me. Not worth the price. The shoes are dangerous on wet surfaces generally. The worst shoe I've had by far from Scarpa. Don't buy.
Purchased in June, returned to GO in November. Stitching on right shoe split. Regardless of this manufacturing defect, these shoes have also been the worst I have owned in terms of being waterproof.
The shoes are light weight and very comfortable but unfortunately have been badly let down by the severe wear of the tread after six months. The tread material is too soft and needs to be made harder.
Comfortable shoe, however, very heavy, really hard sole and extremely slippy on many wet hard surfaces so I rate them as unsafe.
Very poor for the money. Not waterproof at all and sole very slippery in the wet.
After less than a year the stitching started to fail and the shoes began to disintegrate. Choose another make!
I have owned mine 5 months, just light everyday use, no big hikes or rough terrain. Already the stitching has split on both shoes by the small toe and they are no longer waterproof. Expensive mistake.
For the price you'd hope to get more than a 18 months of use.
Alas, 700 miles of use and the starting to come apart and wearing through the sole.
Great comfortable shoe but the upper part of the shoe far outlasted the sole. I got a year out of them. I wear them nearly every day in the office and at the weekends for general use.
I bought a pair of these shoes and was really pleased with them. However, after six months they began to split, the second pair did the same so I took them back too. Can’t recommend.
Excellent walking shoes
Had these for approx 8 months the uppers are very comfortable and well-made, however the sole at the heel is showing excessive wear. For the price it should be much better i.e. a Vibram sole.
Good quality well made shoe, but more heavy than expected, but comfortable
Ok Shoe. Bought on 1st September 2024. Done 440 miles and already the sole is worn through. Not good value and doesn't grip well. Why not use a Vibram based sole? Back to Merrells it is.
