Ten years in, Osprey’s Talon packs are as useful as ever.

Providing everything you need for long periods outdoors, the Talon 33 keeps your gear accessible, its weight distributed and your back ventilated at once.

These latter two aspects are handled by the AirScape™ accordion foam backpanel and seamless lumbar-to-hipbelt body wrap. These increase the airflow, spread the burden and, along with the adjustable back length, provide a generally more comfortable carrying experience..

With a great design across the board, the bag incorporates everything from trekking pole and ice axe attachments to various quick-access external pockets to go with the large main compartment.

The whole bag can be compressed with the InsideOut™ straps, and any hydration reservoirs can be refilled with an external hydration sleeve and reservoir hanging loop.

With numerous other features, attachments and considerations, the Talon 18 is a truly versatile hiking rucksack, one that you can depend on for years of service on your adventures.

Excellent quality and fit. Perfect upgrade from Hikelite 26

would be 5 stars if included a rain cover. Other than that, a very good size and practical pack. easy storage and access to key items so no need to take pack off. Lightweight for its size.

Excellent bag and in-store service.

I bought this from Norwich. Went in looking for a replacement to my 15 year old sac, Danny was so helpful, clocked on what I needed, and have enjoyed the bag. Very comfy back/sides, and great spec.

osprey talon 33

brought this bag as I was starting to struggle for room with my vango 20l day bag, awesome bag very comfortable plus loads of room for a day hike possibly 2 depending how light you travel, this bag is brilliant except it doesn't have it's own rain cover only downside so far

Great travelling companion

At first I was a bit concerned because the pack is clearly very lightweight, though it has proven to be robust.

It's comfortable, even when loaded up and worn for a while, it feels secure, it's tougher than it first appears and it's loaded with useful features.

So far very pleased.

Ticks all the boxes

Was looking for a backpack to do some big UK hikes. This ticks all the boxes. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice all round bag.

Great bag, I use it for daily commute as it fits work stuff and plenty of space for swimming/gym gear. Fits well for cycling and walking. I also use it as my walking day pack it's plenty big enough for a day pack. If you pack smart it's fine for a weekend adventure in hostel/hut but might struggle to carry a tent as well as gear.
Really light weight but feels durable and is very comfortable. Keep in mind it has no frame so isn't designed to carry to much weight and will not be as well fitting as a framed pack with heavy weight.
Dropped a star as it is top load only which inevitably means you will need something out of the bottom of the bag and have to empty all the contents. And it doesn't come with a rain cover which is essential. I found the 10-20L XSmall rain cover by osprey *just* fits this pack, so if you plan to fully stuff the bag and have things hanging on the outside go for the larger cover but for normal use the X small will fit.

Superb Pack

I've had this pack for a little over 3 months now and its been my go to. I use it on day hikes and have recently completed a 3 night 3 day trip on Dartmoor.

It has plenty of room for lightweight camping, is very comfy on the back and the stretch pockets are superb. One of my recent trips saw a day and a half of constant rain and the pack was pretty much dry inside without a cover.

The straps are just right, although I had to contact Osprey for a larger hip belt, I am a 34 waist and with layers plus a jacket the hip belt didnt fit. Osprey sent the extension without question.

Abington the smaller talon 22l I was looking for a slightly larger day bag to accommodate extra kit due to our new four legged arrival. This ticks all the boxes. Lightweight, decent sized hip strap pockets for those essentials - keys, compass, money, dog biscuits, soft pouch on the front for ease of stowing away layers in this unpredictable climate ,pmeaning you don't have to stop and take the pack off, great new additions of extra buckles. Fantastic bag and well worth the money cant fault it
