Steel coil grips that fit over any shoe or boot, for a safe hold on snow and ice.

"5/5   .... amazingly grippy. I ran, I jumped... at this price, everyone should have a set" - Daily Mail , January 2015

Yaxtrax Walkers
are slip-proof grips designed to be worn over any shoes or boots in the snow and ice for protection from a fall.

Useful for any slippery situations from shopping to walking, the Yaktrax help give you grip that you can easily remove in better conditions for a lighter shoe. For improved security on uneven ground try the Yaktrax Pro Ice Grips.

Made with steel coils, they resist abrasion, and their lightweight design makes the Yaktrax Walkers great to to pack as a precaution before you head off into colder climates. Using horizontal coils for forward and backward stability, with vertical coils for side-to-side stability, they give traction in all directions.

Because they use coils (no spikes) the Yaktrax Walker Grips are safe to pack in a bag without damaging any other items, and a great way of getting good grip on treacherous ground, without the bulk of a snowboot.

An excellent purchase that gives you excellent purchase. Not to be used indoors.

  • Get all round 360° traction on ice and snow
  • No spikes
  • Lightweight and abrasion resistant

Fantastic product

Just tried these out on a 2.5hr dog walk covering snow, ice, mud, leaves & tarmac - great on all surfaces, minimal slips and plenty of traction for going up and down icy hills. Great bit of kit.

Great item

Excellent item, will be buying again, as these make you very sure footed on ice and mud. Very easy to put on my walking boots, and very comfy. Highly recommended******

Yaktrax grippers

I could not have managed without my grippers when I visited Hokkaido, Japan, recently. They gripped so well, were easy to slip on and off and stood up to thick ice, snow, on level surfaces or slopes, I was able to walk or run normally without any worries of slipping. They area reasonably priced and absolutely essential for snow or icy conditions. I thoroughly recommend them.

Great grips, do exactly what they say

Great grips, really good on the ice but make sure you take them off when you go inside.

Yaktrax fab

Bought these for my parents as they were coming on a skiing holiday with us. They are amazing and worked really well, light enough to have in your pocket when not in use. I’d definitely recommend them.

Hill walkers beware!

These are a good idea and should be so much better than they are, but are let down by crucial design flaws. First impressions were brilliant - walking down a path of solid ice to the start of a walk, we could almost run on the ice. Unfortunately, solid ice is all that they are good for. Take them near mixed-surface terrain (ice/snow/gravel/rock) e.g. every winter walk in Scotland and they are shown up nearly immediately. First of all, they have a poor fit on proper walking boots - they just aren't large enough and this causes them to fall off at the first opportunity - not fun retracing your steps to find it.

However, by far the worst issue is the rubber material used. Tread patterns of walking boots are a lottery and as such, the fitment of the yaktrax to your tread is too. If you are unlucky like I was, they will just not sit properly in the tread and then the rubber takes a full beating from whatever surface you are walking on - one section completely tore on the first walk after only 2 hours of non-strenuous walking, with the other one failing not long after. As soon as this happens they are rendered completely useless and it somewhat ruined the rest of the walk for me. My partner had a better fit on her tread and yet hers are starting to fray after only a few walks and it won't be long before these tear too.

If only these were more durable (and fit more securely to the boot) then these would be brilliant, but I can only offer them a 1 star review.

YakTrax Max

Yaktrax walkers are definitely the best product for winter confidence. I just spent time in freezing conditions in Norway, very keen to enjoy the winter landscapes but anxious about slipping onto my elderly and creaky joints. I walked with complete freedom and will definitely be keeping these for myself and friends who want to keep getting outdoors despite old age.

Excellent

Excellent, purchased these for a trip to Iceland, felt so safe wearing these, definitely needed there as even the tourist sites can be very icy, without these we wouldn't have been able to walk as easily. Would definitely recommend these, others had a cheaper version which were nowhere near as good as these.

Absolutely superb!

A mate and i went up to the Brecon Beacons and took these as a precaution. There was snow and ice all over the mountain path up Pen Y Fana and people walking very gingerly up! We put these on and we were able to literally run up the ice sheets. Best 13 pounds i have ever spent.will be buying the extreme ones as i love idea of just slipping them over walking boots rather than having to wear b rated boots and have crampons which are a faff if you just want to do some winter hill walking

Brilliant Product

My partner and I have just returned from a holiday in Iceland. Was warned about icy pavements before we went so bought these. So glad we did. Brilliant Product! Walked confidently on packed ice and didn't slip once. Definitely recommend.

yak track snow grips

I have 2 artificial hips, but I also have a dog to walk so normally walk 4 /5 miles daily. But not in slippery conditions . Big frustrations when the snow arrived this last winter. .......... until the era of these fantastic snow grips! I was very wary to begin with but soon found that , even on frozen compacted snow/ ice I was able to do my usual walks. Now I am recommending them to all my friends in view of the predicted bad weather.

Yaktrax

I bought these to wear in the winter months when out walking my dogs. They have a good grip in all conditions which is what I was looking for in case my dogs should pull.

Yaktrax Walker

Over the last 3 or 4 years i've had quite a few pairs of Yaktrax. Being a milkman i regularly walk 4 or 5 miles each morning & can usually get most of a winter out of a pair before i wear them out. I have had the odd spring break (probably by twisting round from putting bottles on steps etc) but that isn't too detrimental as they still work just as well. Since getting them I haven't gone down on the ice even once & i haven't encountered a path or steps that i daren't tackle. Walking on dry tarmac isn't a problem & neither is driving but if you are intending wearing them for long periods they are more comfortable on boots rather than trainers. I've given them 5 stars & recommend this product to anyone. The only product that beats these are the Yaktrax pro with the velcro strap over the top making them much more suitable for heavy use
