Reviews
good indoors, not so good outdoors, 26 December 2010
By Preet (Bradford)
I have spend the entire of this year outside attempting to get out on grit-stone a few times a week.
good points:
3 point Velcro closure gets a nice comfortable fit
impact zone on the heel is a godsend when bouldering.
Sole has a good deal of traction for an entry level shoe
bad points
they stretch terribly after a few months of use, mine have gone up 2 sizes from a 9 to an 11
they turn your feet red after a few hours of climbing
I have worn through the soles at each tip after 5 months use, and I mean there is a small hole in each end on the instep of the toe
As an entry level shoe they are good enough.I think they would make an ideal indoor shoe but for the outdoors I think the sole could give more longevity for the time that they have lasted though. All in all, a good all round second pair of shoes.

Fantastic First shoe, 11 May 2010

Having being climbing (indoor) for almost a year and not having wanted to continuously rent shoes from the climbing centre, I finally decided to splash out. I researched allot on the internet and finally settled on these bad boys. First impressions - they are well made, sturdy and comfortable - by climbing shoe standards. And the curvature on the sole is not extreme at all so no worries with cramp first time!
Having now used these for two years on a weekly if not more regular basis, they are still going strong. The impact zone is a godsend when bouldering and the sturdy toe really helps you get into to those 6c+ foot holds. They are fully capable of decent smearing and I am seriously impressed at the basic level of grip. Taking them outdoors was no problem and the sole is just the right thickness to protect you from the jagged stones, whilst allowing you still feel where you are - would I recommend? Out of the 6 guys and gals I climb with- 4 now own these on my recommendation.
Bad points ? Red feet from the dye after a hard days climbing. That’s it.
