Tasty, 29 September 2016
By Sandrat (Monmouthshire)
Bought a number of these for my daughter whilst doing her D of E, bronze and recently silver. They are not cheap but the food is good, easy to warm up and better than the dried ones.

Tasty and packed full of calories for long days, 23 July 2016
By WildFrontier (Swindon)
Yes, these are expensive compared to a supermarket tin, but they are really intended to go in your pack and not in a tub in the boot of the car with your other traditional 'camping larder' items :) I usually have a couple of these along with some self-heating bags for those mornings when you either don't have a cooker, or can't/don't want to use it - add water, and leave it to heat - you get a hot meal straight from the bag and they really do set you up for the day of walking or cycling ahead. If you're not trying to save space and weight, then stick with tins, but otherwise these do the job nicely ! Would get 5 stars if a fraction cheaper, but hey - if you don't use one, it will still be good the next year!

Wayfarer all day breakfast, 08 May 2016
By Paul (Ryton)
I tried this camping in the Lakes to test it for future trips. The packaging is great, the cooking is great, the contents is a bit lacking. It's basically a pack of beans and sausage. If you look hard enough, you'll find an inch wide disc of omelette (which tastes like beans and sausage), and if you look even harder you'll find bacon (which tastes like spam that's been in beans and sausage for months). Having said that, I really enjoyed it and felt satisfied afterwards.
My main gripe is the price. Over £4 for beans and sausage is ridiculous. Aldi do a much bigger tin of it for 39p. And it's only 130g heavier.
At the moment, 'Look what we found' don't do a breakfast, but when they do, look out Wayfarer, their products are better than yours and less than half the price.

Adequate, but expensive..., 24 October 2015
By Erique (Portsmouth)
Well, I've tried a few Wayfarer meals, and they are OK, but taste and portion wise no different to the budget tinned concoctions of the ilk, such as Hunger Breaks All Day Breakfast.

True, cans are bulkier, but is that worth the difference of £3 pound a meal? Sure, a longer shelf life, but most folks aren't buying up these things for an expedition three years from home, a year to 18 months shelf life of a supermarket can is adequate enough.

As for convenience, I wish that Look What We Found made a breakfast, their other pouch meals -although a might smaller than Wayfarer- only cost £1.69 to £3; last weekend I ate a Lamb Hotpot by LWWF, it seemed to be as good as Wayfarer, but was a quid cheaper...

Of course the longer shelflife attracts survivalist nuts, as does the more compact storage of pouches. However, mice and rats can't get into cans, and I've had a squirrel eat one of my Wayfarer's in the past lol

I've found these £1 cheaper online so I'm heading in the store later to buy a few extra ones and use the price match and 10% discount promise. :)
