Greatest bit of kit ever, 20 April 2016
By Don (Northumberland)
I have owned and used my Trangia 25 for five years now and it is the best bit of kit I have ever had. It is simple and works well. There is nothing to go wrong and it will last me out, and I dare to say will be working in 100 years time. Great value for money. Uses environmentally friendly fuel. Highly recommended.

Trangia 25-2, 27 April 2014
By fred (w.yorks)
I've had my 252 for the best part of 18 years, and the only thing I 've had to buy is a new rubber o-ring for the spirit burner. I have a strong suspicion that I will burn out long before my beloved Trangia ever will.Even the pan-stand is in better nick than me !!There is practically NOTHING that this stove cannot do. Definetlely one for my 'top ten' list. You can stop the bottom of your pans from sooting up,[if it's important to you],by adding up to 10 percent water to your fuel. If you need to buy an outdoor stove for what-ever reason,THIS IS THE ONE. I'm not surprised the Scandinavian Army uses them.they are indestructable. If the ratings went up to 10,you would be looking at a 10 star review.Yes,it is that good.

Went to leeds festival with my mother and daughter, stayed from the friday through til the death on monday morning, used my new trangia 25-2ul set ALL weekend. Great on fuel consumption, could cook a full breakfast for the three of us and have tea in one fill up of fuel. Very easy to assemble and operate. Easy to clean and packed away neatly. Would recomend this product to anyone. Will see how she fares when we visit disneyland next year and try out the recipes suggested in the book. happy camping :)

Highly recommended.

My longest serviing bit of kit and easily the best stove I have ever owned. I like it so much that I've gone from using it for backpacking trips to also taking it away on family camping trips with the gas burner. attachment. It;s just so stable and safe to use, and I can throw it in the car knowing that all the pans and kettle are in there too.

Plus points are:
* Very stable and difficult to knock over
* Easy to move around by gripping the base
* with the handle - even while cooking!
* Using the meths burner, it feeds off the wind rather than getting blown out like other stoves
* Multifuel (Upgradable to Gas)

Minus points are:
* quite bulky, but not too bad for two considering all the pots & pans. Probably too big if you want something for ultra-lightweight trekking. Definately too big for one!
* Meths burner leaves soot on the pans, so you need to clean the bottoms (does not apply to gas burner upgrade)

By Alex (West Yorkshire)
I've had a trangia 25 cook set for a few years now and used it in all conditions! The thing i like most is the accessories you can get for it! I would say if your going on trips like duke of edinbourgh its the only stove for the job!
