An easily-pitched tent that makes the perfect space for a quick weekend getaway.

Exclusive to GO Outdoors, the Vango Talos 400 is a tunnel tent with a simple layout that's easy to pitch, with a spacious living area, stand up height, fully sewn in ground sheet and large windows.

Its adjustable ventilation system and Vango`s patented TBS II® system mean it's stable and comfortable whether the weather's windy, rainy or fine.

It's an ideal family tent for quick weekends away, it's great for couples, and it will make an excellent festival tent too.

Don't forget - you can add protection and insulation (and make pitching easier) by choosing the Vango Talos 400 Footprint  to go under this tent.

  • Protex® 70 Denier polyester flysheet with fully taped seams - durable and reliable fabric that will keep you dry and comfortable
  • Fully sewn-in groundsheet
  • Diamond Clear Windows - maximises light and offers great visibility
  • Colour-coded poles make pitching simple
  • Convenient inner pockets for storing your essentials
  • Weather Tested in a certified wind and rain test centre
  • "Lights Out" Inner Tent - darker fabric reduces the amount of early morning light.
  • Vango's "AirZone" ventilation panel gives a comfortable flow of air through the tent
  • Vango's "TBS ®II" Tension Band System keeps the tent stable in strong winds. In calm conditions the system can be disconnected
  • High Visibility Guylines - easy to see even in low light conditions
  • King Pole Doors with eyelets allowing optional king poles to be used

Ideal starter or quick getaway tent, 17 May 2017
By Foggers (S Yorks)
I have camped for decades and have a serious tent buying disorder...... I justified buying this at the winter sale price because our main tent is cotton canvas and drying that one is a pain early in the season. I have owned several Vango tents and never been disappointed with the quality.

Our first trip with this tent put it through its paces with torrential rain. Happy to report that it was watertight. Simple to put up, lovely big windows, reasonable space for two. It's good value even at its regular price. It's great for weekends and is likely to be our festival tent.

Now the downsides....

The pegs are feeble and I always have my own more sturdy set. The tent lacks a flyscreen on the door, and would benefit from two way zips on front door to increase ventilation options. As others have said, the bedroom door would be better with a two way zip too. And like all man made tents it was sweltering when the sun did come out. These poinits are the reasons for it not being a 5 star tent. But it's a solid bit of kit and I would recommend it for people on limited budgets, or who are new to camping and want an inexpensive dabble.

Good for price, 09 May 2017
By Lmh 99 (East Midlands)
Easy to erect. Has storm straps. Good standing height. Rain runs off it.

Only downside no fly mesh on the door.

Not really enough space in it compared to my other vango tent. So I will probably sell it at the end of the season.

Fantastic tent, 02 May 2017
By Nicola (Highlands, Scotland)
Used this tent this weekend I love it. The bedroom is darkened with loads of room. The storm straps meant it didn't move an inch in the windy ( a different tent we had was flatted in the wind). After this weekend we are looking at buying more for outer scout group . So easy to put up.

Almost perfect, 18 October 2016
By Lanky Bowes (england)
I agree with all the other reviews, would have given it 5 stars, what let it down in our opinion was the lack of a two way zip in the sleeping section. Being tall we slept lengthways and the zip ended at either our head or feet, so the one sleeping on the inside had to clamber over the other to get out. Have had many tents over the years including some very cheap ones, all had 2 way zips. It also does not have a mosquito proof door, we did know that, but, that may have helped the condensation problem I suppose. All in all, its ok. Would not have bought it had we known about the zip though.
