Brilliant!, 13 December 2015
By Jonodrink411 (Yorkshire UK)
Bought this bag for a 7-8 month trip through Central America and so far it's stood up to vigorous tests and come out slightly battered but all still perfectly usuable ( cosmetic damage )
First non intentional test was being drenched by water on a some what choppy lake in Guatemala. Although rather wet it soon dryed and hasn't suffered any bad smells or deterioration. Please be sure to keep your electronics in a waterproof bag inside your bag just incase though.

Second definitely non intentional test was on a chicken bus in El salvador heading for the hondarian border. The back side door of the bus was left open after letting some people off and one very bendy road later I hear the locals behind me shouting! To my surprise the bag had rolled off out the door at around 40 mph! After getting the bus to stop I ran for it and luckily the bag was ok along with the contents all fine! Only a minor hole in the top which was easily patched up.

Only flaws for me was on the main straps the small strap attaching it to the top kept coming off the nice comfy padding digging into my collar bone. It seems one side is central to the comfy strap but the other is abit to the side causing it to slip and dig in. Could just be a factor default with mine though so check before buying!

Love this bag and its serving a great job for this long trip!

Good all rounder, 09 August 2015
By Rob (Cardiff)
Overall this is an excellent bag. I used it on a two week trip around Vietnam and it didn't let me down once. To quickly summarise its strengths and weaknesses:

Large open main pack with retaining straps and a pull toggle sheet over the top keeps everything in place
Side compression straps allow you to keep everything tightly closed and pack it tightly
Day pack with plenty of pockets inside to keep documents safe.
Flight Cover for the back-straps means you don't always have to use the oversize baggage drop
Multiple handles and supplied with a shoulder strap which makes airport handling easier.

Occasionally a bit fiddly to get the daypack zipped onto the main bag (but when it is there its very secure)
No retention device for the compression straps when pulled (meaning the tail end of the strap dangles)
It can be a little laborious to take the day pack off, then reattach the compression straps to the main bag

Overall however these are minor quibbles in comparison to the quality of the bag and the large volume it gives you for travelling. I paid £65 for it and consider it excellent value

Very good for backpackers!, 01 February 2014
By Kelly (Stockport)
This bag is well worth the money! I'm not a light packer and this fits everything I need with room to spare, the lining has a drawstring inside so u can squeeze all your stuff together to get the front opening cover to close easier. It has a flight cover so u can lock away the straps when flying. I'm very impressed.

good all round bag, 04 October 2013
By hueygrigor (wallasey)
good bag for the money, nice size, fitted enough for two weeks away. Straps very adjustable, fitted me 6foot & wife 5foot3 both comfortably. Removable daypack decent size for plane carry-on & can be quickly hooked on front which balances it out a bit better when fully laden. Only gripe was we bought two & one daypack only had one zip for main compartment instead of two. Apart from that very well made & look like will take a good amount of wear & tear.

Great bag, 08 September 2013
By scott (South Wales (UK))
I got this bag a year ago for going around europ. It was comfortable for use in the day and easy to zip and unzip even when full. the "suitcase" like loading makes it easy to access everything. The small day bag also comes in handy and is great for small hand luggage . it even lasted a week in Oktoberfest without damage. . the back zips up to cover the straps which came in handy for going on the plane and the zips are lockable. . bare in mind this bag is BIG when it is full and i would not recommend it for long hiking trips.
I have used it for another trip this year and it is still going strong.
