A fast, light and tough 3 man tent for explorers on the go.
Small and ultra-lightweight, simple but packed with features, the Vango Banshee 300 is a tent that's ideal for trekking and backpacking through any conditions.
It weighs in at 1kg per person, has taped seams for extra protection and reflective webbing and zip pullers to help you find it in adverse conditions.
The tent can be pitched either all as one, or flysheet first, depending on the conditions you're in.
Handy features like O-ring guylines and colour-coded Powerlite alloy poles make pitching the tent simple, easy and quick.
The inner groundsheet is completely waterproof polyester, and the breathable fabric inner and mesh ventilation ensure a comfortable sleeping area, with a lantern hanging point if needed and storage under the door.
The whole thing packs easily into a compression stuffsack, and comes with a repair kit for those unforeseen emergencies.

Better tents for the money, 05 March 2017
I've tried a lot of Vango tents, I've had quite a few long term. I saw this demo'd and was really impressed with the design and the space inside. Essentially you can aim the smaller side into the wind and you get very little disturbance inside. Excellent. This worked well. What I had not counted on is that when the wind changes direction, obviously you get your usual shaking about, but the side of the tent gave way and partially collapsed. I ended up having to support it and it wasn't that windy. Once the wind subsided it popped straight back out with a little nudge. For the money, it's not a bad tent, but if I was going trekking for a few days I don't think I'd take this with me again, I'm not confident it would survive much more than a strong breeze and the tension Band system wasn't much good.
The tempest series MAY be better, its on the list to try.

I used this tent for my DofE expedition in the Lake District. The tent is lightweight so is easy to carry and it is simple to put up, even in torrential rail and winds. The tent is sturdy and stayed up in the heavy wind and rain with no leaking. The doors on both sides allow for quick exits for middle of the night trips to the loo without disturbing other people in the tent.
The only criticism I have for this tent is that with 3 people inside, there is little room left for kit.

I bought this tent as a rush buy for a camping exped i was due to go on the next day and my other tent had failed to arrive on time. reviews of it were really good, looked good in the store too.
First off Vango is a good make and the quality of the tent seemed good. was really easy to pitch and looked the part.
first night had heavy rain and when we awoke in the morning the top of a sleeping bag was slightly wet and we couldn't really figure out why.
two nights later even heavier rain and the next morning an even wetter sleeping bag long story short discovered it was due to the design of the tent and a possible leak at the seam of the larger pole.
will be returning the tent for a refund at the earliest convenience.

I have had this tent for 14 months now and I love it.
I have used it in the lakes and Scotland on wild camping in extremely heavy rain and also snow and it hasn't let me down once. it takes 5 minutes to put up and the same to pack it away. I am going to reproof it this weekend but only because of the battering it has took and I don't want it to start leaking in on me this winter. top tent.

My partner and I have used this tent pretty extensively in regular hiking pursuits, be it a weekend away at the climbing crag or on an extended trip to the Alps. Overall, we are fairly satisfied with it in terms of ease of use, packing size etc. We can fit two peopled, a moderate amount of gear and our dog (english cocker spaniel) inside with little hassle and good degree of comfort. It is somewhat lacking in storage space and one has to be creative with the asymmetric side door storage space. Not built for storage space for sure, and when we have had a lot of gear (i.e. to the Alps) we made use of a separate storage tent shared by a group.
Recently I used this tent for a winter mountaineering trip in Norway, and managed to fit inside three adults, with thick down clothes, sleeping bags, air mattresses, climbing gear, ropes, helmets, food, and once we had the origami worked out, we managed to stay moderately comfortable- even managing to brew snow from one side of the tent without opening the outer door. However, this was not a long-term comfort solution and more a bivy situation, so read that as you will.
I would recommend this tent for 2.5 person use (i.e. couple with dog/gear) only rather than for 3 in order to maximise your comfort. Hope this helps.
