A bright, stylish and functional tunnel tent with a huge internal living space.

Simple and quick to pitch and pack, the Vango Anteus 600 is a very sturdy tunnel-style tent with ample room for six campers and all their gear.

Its airy, spacious design, using a built-in front canopy and large 'Diamond Clear' PVC windows, will let you spread out your gear, your furniture and yourselves, and enjoy a great view from within. The canopy creates a covered outdoor space that's ideal for enjoying the summer weather, whatever it does.

Built using the Vango patented 'TBS ®II' Tension Band System, the Anteus 600 will stay stable even in strong, changeable winds. Pre-angled poles add internal space, and increase stabilty. Its 3000 HH rated flysheet should keep heavy rain out, and the groundheet is robust, hardwearing and waterproof to 10,000mm.

As you'd expect from Vango, the Anteus 600 boasts a wealth of useful design features that heklp to make your camping experince more homely and less hassle:

  • Zipped entry point (with Velcro tidies) for electrical cable
  • Colour-coded poles for more intuitive pitching
  • Conveniently positioned inner tent pockets give you space for snacks, torches, electronics etc
  • Lantern hanging point in the living area or inner tent
  • Door with eyelets (allowing optional king poles to be used)
  • Inner divider gives you options for more sleeping or more living space
  • "Lights Out" Inner Tent: a darker fabric on the inner reduces the amount of early morning light - don't get rudely awakened at dawn!
  • Vango 'AirZone': high and low level ventilation panels for a comfortable flow of air through the tent
  • Breathable polyester inner fabric allows condensation to pass through
  • Flysheet and inner pitch together making it simple and quick to pitch and pack (all flysheet and groundsheet seams are factory taped)
  • Mesh door allows for ventilation, while keeping flying insects outside
  • PE inner tent groundsheet provides a robust, hardwearing and waterproof 'bathtub-style' base
  • Oversized carry bag with 50% more volume - makes packing the tent away much easier

And to make your Vango Anteus a more luxurious environment, you can increase your space even further with the Anteus Side Awning, and get safer, more robust flooring by adding the Anteus footprint.

Check the video below, explaining Vango's TBS II Tension Band System:

All Vango tents use fully fire retardant fabrics that meet the European EN5912 safety standard. They weather test their tents to the European standard EN5912, in a certified wind and rain test centre, to ensure they will perform in the worst of weather. The Protex 70 Denier polyester flysheet is a highly waterproof, durable and reliable fabric that will keep you dry and comfortable, and it's exclusive to Vango.

Good tent but..., 26 June 2015
By Newcamper (North West)
We got a good deal on the 2015 model and gave it a test run ahead of our main holidays this summer. We have never camped before so did a practice pitch in the back garden and found the tent easy enough to erect. However, we found a toggle missing from the main door and the pole bag had a big hole at the bottom!

We camped for the weekend and found it difficult to get one corner to lay flat and really struggled to get the tension right so we could actually close the main door. Even after loads of tweaks and adjustments it's still difficult to close. We felt the tent seemed more like seconds quality with loose threads and stitching doubled up etc. However, it kept the rain out and the canopy was fantastic for cooking under, leaving shoes etc. The living area is lovely and spacious and the carpet really makes it feel homely.

I personally didn't feel the ventilation was great, we had both low vents open and the one at the back but still had quite a bit of moisture inside the tent in the morning. It may be different depending on the weather, the true test will be our week's summer holiday.

3rd time Lucky hopefully, 14 June 2015
By pebelope1harleys (Bradford)
1st one we bought the air vent straps were missing to keep open. 2nd one bought tore at both corner of outer canopy, black circular ring snapped off and one of side pole holders torn at fabric. After a huge argument Go Outdoors swapped tent. Just tried it to make sure everything there and not broken looks fine so far but not yet camped in it Hoping this one does not tear etc. Also just to let you know if you buy the tent alone it's 6m as on diagram if you add the porch extension it's 8m in length. No where could I find this info even Vango didn't know. So 3 stars only as still unsure if this will last and on our 3rd one.

vango anteus 600, 13 June 2015
By steve (cannock)
Great size, got it in the wow offer at £400 all in as a bundle deal, which was an excellent price.
Our previous tent was a vango which we used for many years so thought we'd have quality made tent.
And thats where the good part of the review ends.
When we pitched the tent, i found the stitching on a seam had gone off coarse, and holes had been put into the panel itself so you could see daylight through them.
Took it back for an exchange, but had to go to another store as they had sold out.
Got our replacement, and when pitched found two large holes in a roof panel, so that also went back.
After an 80 mile run around to the stores, had a refund and still no tent, so not happy..

Vango Antaeus 600 family tent, 01 June 2015
By Gwen (bucks)
this tent was excellent. So easy to put up, and take down, compared to others we have had.
Also very compact when packed away, takes up hardly any room. We loved that we could unhook the divider of the bedrooms, giving one big room for adults and children, rather than bed swapping in the night if the children were cold. Also, the divider was there if needed. The porch was a good size and the height and layout of the tent was spot on. Highly recommended.

Issue with tent but resolved promptly, 12 May 2015
By Beth (Swansea)
After reading lots of reviews we decided to purchase the tent with footprint and carpet. Upon putting the tent up we found that there was 2 tears in the side of the tent next to the window. It almost looked like a knife had gone through. We took it back to our local store (swansea) and the staff couldn't of been more helpful. It was quickly exchanged for another and were told it was probably an issue at manufacture. We are really pleased with the tent and hope that this was an isolated incident. Very pleased all round with product and customer service.
