A bright, stylish and functional tunnel tent with a huge internal living space.
Simple and quick to pitch and pack, the Vango Anteus 600 is a very sturdy tunnel-style tent with ample room for six campers and all their gear.
Its airy, spacious design, using a built-in front canopy and large 'Diamond Clear' PVC windows, will let you spread out your gear, your furniture and yourselves, and enjoy a great view from within. The canopy creates a covered outdoor space that's ideal for enjoying the summer weather, whatever it does.
Built using the Vango patented 'TBS ®II' Tension Band System, the Anteus 600 will stay stable even in strong, changeable winds. Pre-angled poles add internal space, and increase stabilty. Its flysheet should keep heavy rain out, and the groundheet is robust, hardwearing and waterproof to 10,000mm.
As you'd expect from Vango, the Anteus 600 boasts a wealth of useful design features that heklp to make your camping experince more homely and less hassle:
- Zipped entry point (with hook and loop tidies) for electrical cable
- Colour-coded poles for more intuitive pitching
- Conveniently positioned inner tent pockets give you space for snacks, torches, electronics etc
- Lantern hanging point in the living area or inner tent
- Door with eyelets (allowing optional king poles to be used)
- Inner divider gives you options for more sleeping or more living space
- ""Lights Out"" Inner Tent: a darker fabric on the inner reduces the amount of early morning light - don't get rudely awakened at dawn!
- Vango 'AirZone': high and low level ventilation panels for a comfortable flow of air through the tent
- Breathable polyester inner fabric allows condensation to pass through
- Flysheet and inner pitch together making it simple and quick to pitch and pack (all flysheet and groundsheet seams are factory taped)
- Mesh door allows for ventilation, while keeping flying insects outside
- PE inner tent groundsheet provides a robust, hardwearing and waterproof 'bathtub-style' base
- Oversized carry bag with 50% more volume - makes packing the tent away much easier
And to make your Vango Anteus a more luxurious environment, you can increase your space even further with the Anteus Side Awning, and get safer, more robust flooring by adding the Anteus footprint.
Check the video below, explaining Vango's TBS II Tension Band System:

Vango Anteus 600, 23 June 2016

After using Vango tents for a long time, with no problems, including a 4 man that survived 3 wet glastonbury festivals, we decided to up grade from our Vango Diablo 600 which had failed in the recent flooding weather which had hit the area (due to our cats running over the top).
We decided to buy the Anteus 600 due to the look of the tent, the space and the comfy airy feel inside with the great views from the windows.
The spec of the tent was quite impressive as was the sale price.
We bought the tent, awning and footprint on a deal from the Derby store.
We purchased the tent on the thursday (second day of camping) and got to the site near Matlock after dinner.
After laying the footprint and tent out, i unpacked the poles which to my horror fell apart as there was no elastic attached.
A quick call to the store resulted in packing all of the tent up and heading back to Derby to change the poles. (Ended up getting a new tent)
Drove back to the campsite and pitched the tent.
On erecting the awning i noticed that one of the holders for the canopy front toggles was not sewn in correctly to the seam and that there was a hole in the door of the tent flyscreen.
It rained again the sun eve/mon morning and we awoke to leaks in the tent in various places in the living compartment and a few on the sleeping pod which the worst was directly over the travel cot of my 7 1/2 month old son.
Upset and angry are the polite way of saying how we felt :(
Ended up sending the lad and mum home.
Been camping for over 35 years now and never once have have i had these problems with a new tent.
The quality control at Vango must be poor nowadays and after praising their tents for so long, i find myself at a dilemma of looking for a replacement manufacturer.
Shocking performance from Vango for what could have been an excellent tent

Just got back from a week away in tremendous winds and rain and was very impressed with the way the tent withstood it all . We bought the awning to go over the porch so loads of room , oversize bag makes packing it away easier and only took about an hour to erect
Not the best vango tent we've had., 05 June 2016
First of all We loved the tent...was an amazing size for my family of 5. Plenty of room for the children to eat and play inside without having to climb over beds or squash each other. Was waterproof and ventilation kept the moisture to a minimum in the mornings. Unfortunately that's where the good points end.
We took our new tent away and pitched it as per the instructions but then things started to go wrong. Firstly, one of the guylines was missing a black ring so we tied the lower part to the upper part, so we could secure it to the ground. A toggle that holds the door open at the front was not sown in so we couldn't secure the door open.
After pitching the tent and relaxing for the afternoon, we were hit by a small storm, nothing too strong, our old tent held up in worse conditions. The following morning we found that the stitching had ripped on the overhang porch where it's pegged to the ground. Not the sort of thing you want to find on your new tent after one night in a light storm. It rained a few times and amazingly we stayed dry but the tension bands kept working themselves loose leaving them slack and a hazard in the night when you're trying to take the little one to the toilet in the dark. They could be a brighter colour so you could see them more easily. Brilliant idea though! The bedroom area was lovely and big but the divider was as useful as a chocolate teapot. It doesn't give much privacy at the back of the tent, it was too loose. It was also see through... What's the point in a divider if you can see through it? The material was too thin on the sleeping area full stop. It didn't keep it darker in the mornings as we were told it would. As a light sleeper, as soon as light starts to shine in, I wake up. When I'm on holiday, I don't like being woke up at 5 in the morning when everyone else on the campsite is fast asleep. Although the tent material was very light and light shines through easily, it would have been nice to have more Windows so you can actually see out the back part of the tent during the day.
As for the side door, it could do with a fly net on it, we used it once but it would have been nice to leave it open and let the air through without letting the bugs in. Would also be nice to have it duplicated on the other side too so you can choose which side to go in or out depending on the wind direction.
When taking the tent down we found that one of the poles had split. That surprised us because we hadn't had any sever weather, just light winds and rain.
On our return home we took the tent back because of the faults and got a refund because they didn't have a replacement one in stock.
As a whole, it is a good tent design but I think we had a poorly made one. I expected better from Vango, always used vango without problems. After reading the reviews on the newer designs, it looks like these faults are common. Think I might look at something different for my next trip as vango quality seems to not be what it once was.

Great value for money. Loads of room inside and easy to put up. Great that it has a sewn in ground sheet as it stops the cold getting in. Would of been handy if it had a fly screen on the side entrance and double zips for each door on the bedroom
Great starter tent, 02 June 2016

Just back from our first camping trip. This tent was a dream to put up & take down & did us well for our week away.
Pros: very secure on a couple of windy days
Cons: lantern hanging point was next to bedroom pod so only half the tent was lit up!
