This top is a lot cheaper than other pure merino wool base layers but I have no idea why really. The fit is really nice for a women and I regularily wear mine on its own without anything above it. It washes well without losing shape, fading, or going too 'fluffy.' It is great at keeping you warm when its cool and cool when its warm, and even after 4 days use constantly on an expedition it still didn't pong! The thumbholes are a nice touch too as it feels really cosy to have it up round your hands a bit. I would definetely reccommend it.
