Features
One of the most sought-after brimmed hats in the world, the
Tilley Airflo® provides sun protection in a lighterweight construction.
Tilley
Airflo® designs incorporate mesh into the crown allowing coolness and comfort during hot days or strenuous activities. Engineered from
Tilley Nylamtium®, a strong
water-and-mildew resistant form of nylon.
The LTM5 is the
Airflo® version of our LT5 Hat. It has a semi-sloping front and back brim and a relatively high crown.
Measurements:
Front Brim: 2 5/8", Back: 2 3/4", Sides: 2 1/8"
GUARANTEED FOR LIFE:
Tilleys are replaced free if they ever wear out, shrink or fall apart. They`re so carefully handcrafted by Tilley in Canada, and made of such strong materials, that many outlive their owners.
FLOATS:
A layer of closed-cell foam in the crown, and sometimes in the brim, provides the Tilley`s positive buoyancy.
TIES ON:
When it`s calm, the Wind Cord stays hidden in the crown. When there`s a breeze, place the part with the sliding knots behind your head. When it`s windy or you`re sailing, use the chin part too.
REPELS RAIN:
The Lighterweight Nylamtium
® Tilleys are excellent at repelling rain.
HYDROFIL® ANTI-SWEAT BAND:
Soft and comfortable, it picks up sweat from your forehead and wicks it away to your temple area where it evaporates.
CERTIFIED SUN PROTECTION:
The fabric and style of all Tilley Hats have been certified to block 98 percent of harmful UVA/UVB radiation and deliver an ultraviolet factor (UPF) of 50+, the maximum rating given.

Owned and loved for decades!, 03 July 2011

Tilleys know there stuff!
Why Canadians are so good at this stuff is a mystery, but they are. Tilley Endurable equipment is all very good but their hats are a speciality - comfortable, practical and madly tough.
If you want the best, buy one of these!

I've owned three Tilley hats and this one is the best of a very good bunch. Light, cool to wear, and great sun and rain protection. Use the cords properly and you won't lose it no matter how the wind gets up.
Pay close attention to the sizing instructions. It should rest lightly on your head with a slight gap big enough for you to insert two fingers between your head and the hat. It should not be held on by tight pressure. Buy a size larger if you're not sure.
My dad spent six months driving across Europe with his Tilley. He just threw it onto the driver's seat, sat on it to drive and took it out when he wanted to wear it. Afterwards it still looked brand new.
Well designed and well made. Guaranteed for life. Costs more than lesser hats but top quality - you really do get what you pay for.

A Great hat. Kept my head cool, acted as a pretty good sunshade, A real must for holidaying in a hot climate. I felt smart too!
