A very light and easily packable air mattress, with essential backpacking warmth.

Therm-a-Rest mattresses are extremely lightweight, very comfortable and versatile enough to go anywhere and do anything. Everyone, from backpackers and globe-trotters, to car campers and festival-goers appreciates the benfits of a compact, insulating sleeping mat.

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture uses their new WaveCore™ construction, which creates over one hundred insulating cells, doubling the warmth of uninsulated air mattresses without the bulk, added weight or lack of durability that you may find with down or synthetic fills.

To inflate the NeoAir Venture, just blow into the valve, then push the air down to the lower section with the valve closed, then open it again and blow up the rest. It should take about 20 strong breaths to fill.

Warm: WaveCore™ construction provides twice the warmth of uninsulated air mattresses
Compact: Eliminates bulky fill materials to pack to a tiny size, saving room on your kit
Comfortable: Two inches (5 cm) of loft and horizontal baffles give you maximum stability and support
Durable: Tough, 75D polyester and proven air-tight coatings give you reliable long-term performance

Love it!, 30 May 2016
By PAGEGIAM (Rochester)
Really pleased with this mat. I have used for two nights of comfortable sleep. It packs down small and light into its own stuff sack and takes no time to blow up or deflate in the morning. So far I am very happy, time will tell about longevity.

Great product, 11 June 2015
By Camping Ninja (Wigan)
for anyone wanting a decent level of comfort with a genuine thermarest product you cant beat this one for the price. although it does require blowing up via your own lungs, it is as thick as the thickest of the self inflating variety from other brands and easily many times smaller and lighter when rolled up.

its only a tiny bit bigger/heavier packed than the twice as expensive yellow x lite range but is still perfect for light backpacking and hiking and is well worth the small extra weight for lots more comfort and a smaller pack size compared to a foam roll mat. although it is slightly crinkly sounding it is not too bad and for those worried about the ruggedness as long as its got a groundsheet underneath it wherever you would use it (or even in a hammock) it will not get punctured and its fairly easy to repair.

overall for me its worth this once getting the well known brand as after all it will be used for many hours at a time and a good nights sleep will affect whatever you are doing in the day.
the only word of warning though is that it is a regular size out of the 4 the company make of small medium regular and large. its width is fine for a normal sleeping bag but the length is just fine for me and i am 5ft 6, so it might be a tiny bit too short for those people around 6ft and higher unless you get a fairly decent pillow or kit bag to put your head on, would definitely recommend, due to the quality, price and warranty you get with therm a rest. :)

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir™ Venture WV Sleeping Mat (Regular), 24 February 2015

I used the mat for a sleepover. Very comfortable but noisy. Felt like I was sleeping on a crisp packet; everyone complained the next morning about the noise I made when I moved during the night.

Excellent, 17 August 2014
By Sean (Norfolk)
Much lighter, much smaller when packed, and much MUCH more comfortable than my previous Thermarest classic. I was worried that it might be noisy as it crinkles when you move on it, but in the tent this did not bother me at all. Assuming that it is durable (it feels more likely to get punctured that my other mat) then it is really a great product. It is not a four season mat as insulation is not great but you can buy a more expensive one if deep winter camping is your thing!

Good, but too small!, 02 August 2014
By kerry (Teddington)
I have just got back from a weeks camping and I thought it was good, but disappointed in the size. I got a medium as I am not that tall and a size 14. However, the length was fine but the width wasn't. I thought the medium size is more suited to my 7 year old daughter and about the same width as one of the child blow up beds i bought for her. However, saying that it was definitely more comfortable to sleep on than a blow up bed. I did feel a bit stiff by the end of the week, but I am sure it would have been worst if I'd used a blow up bed. It does roll up into a very small bag, which I really needed. I can't compare it to any other type of camping bed as I have only ever used a blow up bed. One of the reason's I didn't buy the large was that they were so expensive and I needed to get one for my husband as well. Thinking that i might put another cheaper mat under it for our next camping trip to see if it will be even more comfortable. Also it is warmer than a standard blow up bed.
