The North Face Men’s Upland Jacket is a waterproof and breathable jacket designed for all season use in daily wear as well as in challenging outdoor conditions.
Designed with
a smooth mesh liner that wicks and breathes, the outer made weith seam sealed
HyVent will keep you warm even in extreme rain and chills.
Because the Upland Jacket can be worn up hills and inclines over a midlayer, it has been designed to offer supeme levels of moisture management as well as warmth for the downhill run.
The adjustable cuffs can be pushed back for venting, whilst in cold weather the hem can be drawn in to trap internal heat. For safety, the Upland Jacket also includes reflective piping so you stay visible in low light conditions.

In the past I have used many gore tex paclite products for my cycling and running. I initially bought this jacket just for casual use around town but found it excellent for use on my bike as the pit vents keep you from getting very sweaty and it seems so much more waterproof than my paclite coats, excellent jacket .

I have owned one of these jackets for about 4 years now and although I do find it very water / wind proof it is also a bit on the clammy side. The pit zips help to control the temperature to some degree but the arms are lined with a nylon type mateial and this makes it feel sweaty.
The pockets are very well placed and apart from the breathabiity issue this is a good all round jacket.

I bought this jacket as an outer light weight jacket as I cycle to work and occasionally get caught out by the odd shower! We are in England after all!! Gotta say it performs really well as you'd expect from NF kit....would def recommend.
