Good, but not that good, 08 February 2012

Bought this jacket due to the variety of options available when out hillwalking. Singing it's praises i would highlight its comfort, styling, waterproofing and amazing breathability of the shell.
Downsides and there are really only one. No breathability in the arms even with the vents open. My arms were soaking with perspiration and my body was dry. If you are not planning on heavy hill walking then this is the jacket for you.

I've had this for about a year and used it in all climates due ot the versatility. Fleece, waterproof or both. Got it at a bargain price and recommended it to others. I would say it would be 5 stars but for the pocket issue mentioned previously and pretty heavy if you wanted to use it if backpacking but altogether a quality north face product.

Only bought this yesterday and I'm already impressed. Was a very miserable rainy, windy morning today but I didn't care 'cause I wanted to try out my new coat! It's the most comfortable waterproof I've ever owned. The fleece inside is very soft on the skin and so snuggly and warm!
The water just rolled straight off the outside (making my jeans very soggy!) and the high collar did a great job of blocking the wind. The hood fits my head well and stays up without having to tighten the cords.It's not as heavy as I was expecting either giving you great manoeuvrability.
The fleece on its own is thick but I don't think it would be too warm on the milder days. I can't really think of a bad thing to say about it so far! Highly recommend this if you want a new winter coat.
