These are listed as barbel rods but are just as at home with a 20lb+ carp attached. If you are looking for a responsive budget but quality rod then look no further. I purchased a pair of these for my son after buying some for myself a while ago. they have proven exceptional value. and to date I've had a 23lb 4oz carp on the end and they don't feel inadequate for the job at all. I love having tackle that has both the ability to sense the movement of a fish as well as being strong enough to cope. These i can happily say do both.
