Tested these out on a 8 mile walk in the peaks, even in the middle of summer they managed to keep my feet dry and very comfortable! Used to have a pair of brasher 4 season socks which still created some sore spots in my boots on long walks but with these I couldn't feel a thing! These are going to be my feet's best friends on the Coast to Coast walk next week!

Bought these about four years ago, I have had them up mountains, Skiing, long walks over the moors to standing at football matches during the winter months. I can not fault these socks at all, the most comfortable, warm socks I have worn, and still looking good. I will be definately sticking with this brand of sock and will be purchasing the medium version when purchasing a piar of trail shoes for every day walking in the near future.

Having selected 4 types of socks from go outdoors online, based on reviews, I went to the Coatbridge branch and choose these and 1000 mile. Having tried the 1000 mile and finding them good I tried the smartwool today on a 3 hour walk with my springer. To say I was impressed was an understatement they feel like having slippers on your feet, showing my age, I was wearing my Marmot boots and can say that after years I have found the perfect combination of footware. should my view change, though unlikely, after time I will update this review. The extra cost over other socks has justified itself.
