This is a stunning bit of kit. Very light to carry, but this does not impair its function in any way. Holds a very sharp edge for sure, safe cuts. This may be far more costly than a cheap hardware shop chopper, but it really is worth it. I grew up in a house with an open fire, so I have been using axes and saws since childhood (us do things differently 'yer in Devon!) I can honestly say this was a revelation. Need a small camp axe: buy this!
One tiny gripe is the velcro tab on the cordura cover. I've had mine for about two years and it barely stays closed any more. A sturdy popper would have been much better.
