Features
A wind resistant hooded fleece for the ultimate in warmth and protection.
Designed for warmth during Winter climbs, Autumn expeditions and early Spring adventures, the Rab Shadow Hoodie gives wind resistance and excellent coverage without the bulk.
At 640g this isn't as light as some fleeces, and it doesn't have the waterproofing of a hardshell, yet the Shadow manages to pack in the best of both worlds, and a variety of features that make it suited to almost any climate.
Polartec Wind Pro® provides wind-resistant and water-resistant protection, with maximum stretch and movement. As it doesn't use a membrane, it's incredibly breathable but still 4 times more wind-resistant than standard fleece - so perfect for active pursuits in all conditions.
The helmet compatible hood allows water to bead off, and the cut ensures you can climb without the Shadow getting in the way of your harness.
With a hemmed drawcord to seal in heat, the Shadow has the full potential to become your shadow this season - stuck on you, wherever you go.
- 'Hardshell' technology
- Abrasion resistant
- Fits under a harness
- Hood inbuilt
- Lycra cuffs
- Thumb loops
- Double exit hem draw cord
- Low bulk seams
- Medium cut

Rab Shadow Hoodie, 16 January 2013
By Marcus (Tudhoe,Co Durham)
I've never paid so much for a so-called fleece but I'm so pleased I did. What a great piece of kit warm & so windproof & not bulky.I haven't been caught out in the rain yet so can't comment but that's what we have water-proofs for. It does as it says,'A wind resistant hooded fleece for the ultimate in warmth and protection' All my clothing tend to be medium but in the case of this I found the large more comfortable. I can't praise it enough

I have the green version (all mens active/outdoor gear seems to be getting grey-er and grey-er)
Anyway, very comfy, due to the fit and stretchiness the arms and waist dont ride up like others of similar spec. Hood is practical and doesnt get in the way when not being used. Its a lot of money, but the newest model isint always the best, I have the 2011 version (and you can find one of these for nearly 1/2 of the price)
