Well crafted beginner/intermediate rock shoe for all-round climbing.
"Targeted at the aspirant all-rounder the Scarpa Reflex
is built for comfort, with its neutral last and padded tongue, yet will still 'cut the mustard' as you work through the grades with a well balanced sole providing enough support for edging and enough sensitivity for when things get slopey.
Another great feature on an all-round shoe is a fast and firm hook and loop closure. This allows power and precision when required but also lets you quickly free you feet which might not be used to the confinement of rock shoes if you are just getting started. Finished with all new SSR1.0 rubber soles for lasting grip. "

Good beginner shoe, 30 May 2016
I bought this shoe as my first climbing shoe and they were a very good shoe to start with. However, I was disappointed by how quickly I wore down the rubber and found them quite uncomfortable as they are narrow. That said they were very cheap and grippy.
Great but fitting is a bit small, 04 May 2015
By Yippieee (Grimsby)
I got a size 39 (6 UK) but it was a very tight fitting. My toes were curled in when whole foot was in shoe and very uncomfortable after 10 mins of wearing. Size 40 (7 UK) were fine.
Recommend go a size up!
Comfy, all day performance., 04 July 2013
I disagree with the previous review.
I am a fairly experienced rock climber, operating in the HVS region outdoors. I have found that these shoes are excellent for smearing and comfy enough to wear all day without compromising performance!
Only downside is that they are not stiff enough for edging, they struggled on limestone sport somewhat - but if, like me, you're climbing under 6b then your shoes don't really have that much influence in what you can and can't climb anyway! The rubber also seems very soft, but at present they havent worn down to a huge extent!
Stiff durable shoe, 24 June 2013
This was my first ever climbing shoe and I suppose it has served me well. Appears to be very durable as I have had them for a year climbing indoors twice a week and outdoors occasionally and they have very little wear to the sole. Very comfortable also. The downside is that they are quite stiff and this makes it difficult to feel whats underfoot. The sole is not very sticky and pretty poor for smearing. It is also pretty hard to fit the toes into small crevices. Edging is generally o.k. Good for beginners possibly but I am now getting to the stage where I need a better performing shoe to progress.
