Features

Waterproof trekking boots that give you the ultimate in comfort, performance and agility.

GORE-TEX® TechnologiesScarpa's R-Evo GTX Boots are fully waterproof, very comfortable, and supportive enough to see you through day-long treks over whatever terrain you find yourself tackling.

Featuring Scarpa’s Sock Fit technology, with unique Scholler S-tech fabric, they provide an ever-adapting fit -  the tongue, ankle flex zone and collar are all linked with an elastic action, just like you are wearing a sock, that moves with your foot.

Thanks to their GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining, which allows for moisture vapours to move away from your skin while keeping water out, your feet are kept dry and comfortable inside.

The upper is protected with a toe rand, while their Vibram Fagus Lite sole gives great shock absorption underfoot, with a very stable and broad heel platform.

A perfect boot for three-season hiking and trekking.

Comfortable, 22 November 2016
By Skelly (Rotherham)
Really pleased with this purchase. I have very narrow heels that normally causes me discomfort for the first few walks until I wear the boots in. These were comfortable from the word go with the lacing allowing me to get a really good fit without being too tight around the top. Very lightweight for a chunky looking boot and provided ample cushioning over medium to hard terrain.

Scarpa R-EVO GTX Trekking Boots, 03 October 2016
By Faz (Derbyshire)
Great boot comfortable straight out of the box. Great lacing system that can be easily adjusted during a hike. Walked about 25 miles to date in them around the Peak District. Waterproof is exactly that I've had them sink in peat bog up to lace tops no water water ingress at all. Will update review soon when they have travelled more.

Fantastic boots, 04 July 2016
By Leon (Derby)
Scarpa's sock fit works really well, creating a perfect fit which adjusts to your foot shape the longer they are worn. They are a good stiffness and weight for long treks, but they do get a bit to hot on summer days in the UK (which is to be expected as they are a three season boot). Waterproofing is fantastic as long as you take care of them using Nikwax. I would recommend wearing them with Superfeet insoles for added comfort and support. Good for people with long narrow feet.

Pros:
Great fit for narrow feet
Still made in Europe (Romania) rather than in China/Vietnam so workers rights are secured
Vibram sole and Goretex membrane
Great cushioning and support around the ankle.
Great traction on mud and boggy ground
Comfy straight out of the box
Fairly lightweight

Cons:
No grip on limestone.
Hot in summer.

Can't wait to see what Scarpa come up with next...., 10 October 2015
By Dave (Wakefield)
These boots are superb, among the best I've owned. The fact that I bought them having not been after new boots is testament to their comfort. One year on and they are still going strong having walked all over the country. I've had no problems with durability as other reviewers have suggested though they certainly don't look new anymore. The waterproofing has held up well which is often an issue with non-leather.

For walking in spring, summer and autumn in the British mountains, these are hard to beat.

Disappointing, 27 September 2015
By Phil (Leicester)
I really liked the idea of a comfortable, sock fit, 3 season boot, but these just aren't comfortable - or durable.

Initially when I tried these on in the store and did a few walks over the ramp, I thought these boots were amazing: really comfortable and surprisingly supportive. Great. The problem was that once I actually started a mountain walk in them I realised that the spot at which the lacing finishes is directly behind the knuckle of the big toes. While this didn't create a pressure point while I was walking, every time I flexed my toes I could feel it and it wasn't comfortable.

The second issue was the soles: they aren't particularly cushioned and I could feel the impact on rockier descents.

Thirdly, vibram outsole or not, the grip on these boots was disappointing. Typically, the only times I slip, even on wet rock, is when I'm trying to read the map while walking! Wearing these my feet unexpectedly shot out from underneath me a few times, which I am not used to.

Fourthly, that nice, light grey bit of rubber that wraps around the lower boots is not a suitable material. After a single day's hiking in the mountain it looked ridiculously chewed up. I've got boots that have done more mountain ascents than these have done miles (15 miles, maybe?) and look nowhere near as worn.

To conclude, if you want nice countryside walks with a decent, supportive boot then these are fine. If you want to go over rocky, rugged terrain which may include scrambling then these just aren't tough enough.
