Flawed gem, 15 December 2011

Without a doubt the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I did a long hike in them last summer and I was the only one with un blistered feet at the end. They are wonderful in all temperatures.
One slight problem, they are only moderately waterproof. Heavy rain for hour and I have wet feet, never mind to cross a stream. Real shame, hope mine are a bad pair.

Chose these after having discomfort from so many walking boots. They felt comfortable and snug from the off because of the lovely soft leather. The only slight disappointment was the inner sole that felt a bit basic and lacked the deep cushioning that ones in other boots had so I may replace these. Other than that, they're perfect.

I purchased these in January after a pair of Meindl boots I owned failed on me. I have not been disappointed. They fit like a glove and rather than keep you away from the surface they have a talent for making you feel connected yet safe.
I really like these boots - they have great soles, great support and are extremely comfortable. BIG THUMBS UP.
