The
Salomon X Ultra GTX combines the best features of trail running and walking shoes with a GORE-TEX® lining, to make a truly multi-functional off-road shoe.
Salomon's Advanced Chassis™ provides a firm base for grip, support and protection, yet allows the foot to move with a dynamic gait. It's equipped with the super skinny Quicklace™ system for fast, reliable lacing, and lace pockets to prevent trips or snags on any loose ends.
Built with an injection moulded EVA midsole for reactive, lightweight cushioning, and a burley toe bumper for those inevitable impacts when moving at speed. Sealed from the elements with a fully waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex® liner. Finished with a tough Contagrip® sole, incorporating dual directional lugs for reliable acceleration and emergency stops.

Managed to pick these up at almost half price in local store. Very very comfortable and thankfully a little wider than my last pair of Salomons. I have wideish feet with a high arch and they fit like a glove. Have tested them on a very wet dartmoor and feet remained dry so so far so good!

I bought these shoes to use as both my walking shoes and for trail running, as soon as i put them on they were comfortable and feel really supportive! when running they support my feet really well. all around a great shoe!
