Essential emergency rations, 09 February 2010

This is a staple of all the daypacks I have ever carried, as a good emergency standby. However it's a rare day that doesn't see my 'emergency rations' eaten on the final stretch back to the car or on the way to the pub!
They can get a little bit too hard, if it's cold, but it survives well in even the worst treated 'sacks. The wrapper generally stays in one piece even if the print has worn off and of course it's just as yummy even if it's broken.
