This was the first bike I have ever bought myself with my own hard earned money and other than it being attractive as said on other reviews my bike was stolen after 10 days of owning it i had no problems with paint chipping a couple of minor things needed tightening but tbh although I now don't have the bike it still hadn't been for its 6week check so everything is gonna pull itself into place and be tightened up anyway, I'm intending on buying the same one again absolutely brilliant 1st road bike
Not the Standard you expect from this brand, 20 April 2015
By The Hop Pickers (Kent)
Shimano levers and derailleurs (Claris)
Has a trim setting on the front mech lever
700c on small frame
Schwalbe Lugano tyres
The paint work is easily chipped (I mean easily)
The bike when supplied was not set up well. (the lad in the shop that did the setup, was up against it as on his own and had many customers, so not his fault, but did miss some bits, we all would if under pressure like he was)
The cables when clamped up (least then 2nm) frayed easy. which meant I had to replace all the cables. (now has Shimano stainless steel cables)
The brake pads are inadequate (this is probably a personal observation).
The seat post clamp bolt is such a soft material, with little force it reamed out. (Suggested on clamp 5 to 6nm printed on the clamp, only got to 4nm)
The headset was dry and needed fully greasing.
This is a good first road bike, but I would advise if you do buy this to ensure you have the budget aside to replace some of the parts and to get this thoroughly serviced. Now it has been fully serviced and set up it is a nice bike, just don't ride throw gravel as this will mark/chip the frame.
Looks great but has flaws, 03 April 2015

I know looks are subjective but I wanted this bike as soon as I saw it, the price helped too!
There is a very big problem with all aspects of the gears. The chain came off on my first ride on it!
The gear changers feel very cheap to use and you often have to really stretch your fingers to make a change.
Chain makes a rattling noise when certain gears are used, they are either not sitting correctly or this is a fault with the levers not changing them properly.
Fun While It Lasted, 22 March 2015

Well I got this less than a month ago, walked out of work today (designer outlet) only to find it had been stolen, lock cut right through, so yeah that sucks. Bike was good, definitely going to buy a new road bike, not the same model though. Heres why:
Shoddy Gear Changes-Very jolty and uncomfortable.
Paint Work-Falling to pieces, chips all over, Raleigh logo falling off the front.
Brakes: Brakes not very good.
Fast, Fun, Reliable, And obviously very attractive, unfortunately that means thieving scum love them.
A sad loss today...

Good bike for a first bike. My first road bike. Nice and light, good value for money.
The only thing bad about it is the pedals which come with the bike are designed for proper cycle shoes with small toe clips and straps and not size 8 trainers so it would be best if you buy new pedals with different size toe clips
