A waterproof shell made from Polartec Neoshell that's very lightweight and soft to the touch.

"The Rab Myriad Jacket is a totally waterproof and highly breathable shell jacket that's made using Polartec's innovative Neoshell fabric.

Cut to a similar style as their perennial favourite the Latok Alpine Jacket, the Myriad's use of Polartec Neoshell makes it lighter, softer and more comfortable.

Polartec Neoshell has a much softer handle than other hardshells, and offers softshell levels of comfort and breathability without compromising its waterproof protection.

Designed for alpine climbing but equally at home for walking and trekking, the Rab Myriad boasts plentiful pockets, storm flaps, and a helmet-compatible, fully adjustable peaked hood that will shield you from a storm.

  • Helmet compatible hood with wired peak
  • 2 YKK Aquaguard® zipped bonded A-line pockets
  • YKK Aquaguard® front zip, internal flap, rain drain
  • Internal YKK zipped bonded pocket
  • Tricot lined collar, hook and loop® cuffs, hem drawcord

Very Poor, 24 August 2016
By Andrew (Nottingham)
After just a few uses the jacket went fluffy where a backpack rested against it. Rab suggested this over the lighter Charge jacket for use with a pack but refused to replace this. Go Outdoors however have offered to exchange for something that isn't useless.

Leakey Rab, 11 June 2016
By Peakhiker (Sheffield)
The myriad jacket itself is brill the main zip is an other matter leaks like a government department can't believe it was sent back to Rab for testing and it came back as OK my baselayer front was wet as a otters pocket. Thank you to go outdoors for refunding my money just be warned about this jacket and RABS denial of the problem as I am not the first to have this problem

great jacket, crazy sizing, 23 February 2016
By adibranch (derby)
This is a neat well made jacket.. no denying that. I was after a neoshell for breathability (from what I understand neshoell doesn't need a pressure difference before it starts working to shift condensation).

But, as others have said.. whereas the torso of the jacket fits reasonable well, with enough room for a insulation layer, the arms and the hood are from a clowns outfit. The hood on the small is literally big enough to fit a large football in and still have to cinch down. I reckon I had a good 8 inches of space above my head. Having said that, it does cinch down quite well, taking up all of the space, and is then quite comfy, but with a LOT of folds around the head which would just collect water. You can really feel the elastic volume adjuster string round your ears too.

The sleeves are long.. I perhaps could have lived with them if it wasn't for the hood. I ended up with a montane further faster instead.. which has much more sensible sizing although is a lot stiffer than the Rab.

Breathable and light -amazing value for Neoshell., 27 January 2016
By Escaped from the South (Sowerby Bridge)
this is fantastic jacket especially at the discounted price it's now available for - a simple alpine cut two large chest pockets that sit out of the way of harnesses /rucksack straps and one internal pocket for phones/ documents - full coverage wired hood with a volume adjuster and slightly offset cut so it's a tad longer at the back than the front. Long arms.. back to that later.

To be honest there's plenty of great jackets out there on the market , the thing for me that made me buy the Rab is the fact it's Neoshell, and i was interested to see how much more breathable that my old 3layer Goretex jacket it was ( I also have an event™ riding jacket for comparison) Well in one it MUCH more breathable - I'm a sweaty person at the best of times , but it's noticeably more comfortable to wear over a wider range of temperatures before it gets clammy inside, I'm not saying it doesn't get clammy , but it gets less so, I can't help but think that those long arms and non elasticated cuffs that can be adjusted with velcro tabs help towards this, you can undo bottom of the sleeve and let cool air work up the jacket, you can, if you're terminally uncool ( Cough) even roll the sleeves up and look like you've just left Genesis somewhere in the early 90's and gone for a walking holiday to recoup.

I've used it for walking and mountain biking, in the wettest and mildest of West Yorkshire winters and it's been great, haven't washed ityet but instructions seem simple enough.

Overall it seems a great jacket, if it's dead in a year I'll post an update.

This is a pub jacket not a hill jacket, 06 October 2015
By Scottish hill loon (Aberdeen)
Great breathable fabric let down by poor design. The zip leaks like a sieve in driving rain. I was soaked after an hour. Very disappointed in both jacket and Rab's denial of problem.
