Very good but leaky pockets!, 20 May 2013

This jacket is light, looks good and the hood fits fantastic. I used it for the 3 peaks and it rained and was foggy all day however the front pockets filled with water! Not great when you have your mobile and key fob for your car in your pockets! If I had wanted to keep goldfish in my pockets this jacket would have been ideal. There is a design flaw with the seam around these zipped areas as others have stated the pockets leak.
I shall be taking mine back to the store and getting another to see if that leaks Apart from the pockets it really did keep me dry and the jacket does let you breath unlike gortex.

Fantastic looking & comfortable to wear, with the best water resistance I've ever had in a coat. Never had issues with pockets leaking (internal pockets are a good bonus, just in case), the wired hood is the best I've had. Tough wearing for general walking (although I ripped mine in a heavy fall/ slide on jagged ground). A top product that's well worth the money!!

Incredible jacket. I used it in most scottish conditions, pouring rain, high winds, spindrift all over the place, -20, and it always kept me dry, warm, and cosy. Not only it keeps you 100% dry, but it breathes really well, almost as well as a softshell, and it's very light. The hood is very well designed, and once closed completely with the storm flaps it protects your face almost entirely. It's also a very convenient jacket to wear with a harness. I did not get any issue with the pocket zippers leaking, I think it is just a matter of closing them tight at then end.
Because it is so thin and so light I didn't have a lot of confidence in this jacket when I got it, but it proved to be very hard wearing.
