Features
A high quality, high performance, comfortable sleeping bag with low weight.
Rab's Ascent range of sleeping bags use Pertex® Microlight inner and outer fabric that is extremely durable and breathable, which keeps wind and water out, and keeps the down in.
The Rab Ascent 500 sleeping bag (2012) uses Fill power US650+ 80/20 goose down for an exceptional warmth to weight ratio. All Ascent bags are hand-filled in Rab's factory in Derbyshire.
The Ascent 500's roomy semi-rectangular foot area gives you space to move without losing insulation, which is great for those who don't like the restriction of a mummy shaped bag. The 3/4 length YKK 5-coil main zip provides easy access and ventilation.
The Pertex Microlight* outer shell and inner lining is ultra-light and very densely woven, holding the goose down fill in place without sacrificing breathability.
The Rab Ascent 500 sleeping bag comes with two storage sacks - a large storage/carry sack, and a compression stuff sack. This gives you the option of compacting the bag down to conserve space in your kit, or keeping it uncompressed for long term storage, to preserve the down.

Reviews
Rab Ascent 500, 26 February 2013
By PD (Carlisle)
I was really impressed with this bag, it packs down well in its compression sack & is a decent weight at just over 1kg & doesn't take up much room in your pack. I camped in the lake district the last weekend of February & the temperature was -6 but i was still more than comfortable . Size wise its also sound as I'm over 6 foot but still had loads of room, performance wise its a great piece of kit that i would recommend & am sure i will have it for a good few years.
