The Alpine Trek Pants are softshell trousers designed for using in harsh conditions.

They have been constructed from a lightweight Teklite fabric which is wind resistant, highly breathable, DWR treated (water resistant) and very quick drying.

This means that you'll be protected from any type of weather that crosses your path, from howling winds, damp mornings or even scorching heat.

The Cordura abrasion resistant panelling and ankle scuff patches increase the durability of the pant and the knees are articulated for a larger range of movement.

Pockets and belt loops make the Alpine Trek Pants a truly amazing trekking pant for all environments.

bought these for trip walking in swiss alps? two pairs. crutch started to fray within 3 days on first pair so had to carry second pair with me just in case? good thing there light? second pair also frayed within 3 days. could realy of done without the hassle and extra weight . bought these from two different shops at different times so it cant be the batch? very exspensive for 3 days use. would not buy rab troucers again.

Light, quick drying and robust, 12 June 2011

£45? are you mad? Is what my friends say, but these trousers are far superior to a cheap pair of jeans from primark. Went out in them today on my way to a cave to do some climbing, forgot my waterproof trousers so had to walk a whopping 2 miles in the rain. Got to the cave and within 30minutes they were bone dry on me. Being a limestone cave as well it was polished and slippy in the wet and a couple of times I ended up slipping. There were no sign of abrasion or tears on the trousers anywhere. Very lightweight, durable and comfy, add that to the top quality im used too from Rab and you have a great pair of trousers suited to most outdoor activities.

Watch out for the sizes!, 16 April 2010

A nice pair of pants and very good value for money at this price but make sure that you've checked out the waist and leg sizes first.

For example he Rab size guide says that the XL ythat i ordered is 36W, 34L but the actual size when they arrived is 36W32L and it says this on the innter label. Unfortunately, Go Outdoors don't stock the longer leg length.
