Vango Tempest 300, 19 December 2011
By AK (Sunny South Wales)
I bought one of these tents in summer 2011. The tent although fairly basic has performed well in various weather conditions, and is fairly light. Billed as a three person - not really, just about comfortable for 2. Quick to put up, but fiddly with the internal snap rings. Would definately recommend.
Vango Tempest, 15 July 2011

1 of 2 tents I have bought from Go Outdoors this year. Excellent and sturdy. It can be a little bit fiddly first time you pitch, with feeding the Inner through the hoops, but when the Inner is up first time there is no need to remove it again. Have had the tent in high wind conditions at the base of Ben Nevis and had no trouble. It is light and compact. Would definitely recommend this product.
Great Value & Vango Quality, 07 December 2010

Have had a vango years ago with there force ten range. I was not dissapointed in this. a great tent used it on WHW this year and various camping trips. It saw all weathers and stood up well. It pitches with inner or fly first which is usefull. Only fiddly bit is the attaching and removal of the inner loops. Maybe just my big fingers?
Good value and spacious, 20 August 2010

This has been a great wee tent. Very spacious and relatively lightweight. My only gripe is the difficulty in engaging the porch pole - it takes quite and effort, and the large gap under the outer skin, particularly around the porch, where it let sin quite a draft. This could be a real problem in high wind. Other than that, I would recommend this.

Great little sleeper, 19 July 2010

This tent is excellent, i had been looking for a small backpacking tent for some time but didnt want to buy the first one i saw, when i came across this and at under £100 it could not be beaten.
There is plenty of room for two but i cant see three adults getting on well in there ;-).
After a nights sleep there wasnt a drop of moisture in there due to all the vents.
the only thing i didnt like was the vent in the top which looks as if it could leak in heavy rain, but we didnt get any so cant comment or complain about that otherwise best tent ive ever had and there has been a few.

Brilliant value- well thought out, 23 February 2010

I have used this tent on many hiking trips where weight is a prime factor as well as build quality. The design is unusual with the extra porch pole but this adds to internal height and makes the porch excellent for cooking with the double zipped outer door. All features have stood up to the test although if you are willing to spend more money im sure there are lighter and better equiped options
Excellent tent for the price, 16 February 2010

This tent is excellent value for money. Decided on this tent over the others in the range due to the generous porch size. Will sleep 2 comfortably and 3 at a push. Well built and tension system makes all the difference!
