Vango Ark DS 300, 14 August 2014
By rufus (Nottingham)
just used this tent for the first time and am really pleased. I was looking for a tent I could, as a relatively novice camper, put up on my own, but gave me reasonable space. This tent met those criteria.
It stood up to the recent very strong storm winds and rains - it's great
Good tent, easy to put up, other than pegs provided were poor & bent easily. A couple of more guy lines on the side of the tent would be good. Overall though very pleased with it, big enough for three, looking forward to using it again.

I really like this tent! It's light and the poles aren't too long. Easy to pack away and carry. A bit of a Tardis. Doesn't look very big from outside, but once in there is plenty of room for a double blow up bed. Space around the mattress for my bags, coats etc. Very easy to put up, I leave the inner tent in place and just roll it up, still packs down well. Only 3 guy ropes but stays up in very strong winds without any mishaps. Pockets inside are a nice touch, as is the light hanging loop.
Good Tent watch out for side winds, 25 June 2013

Just come back from the Outer Hebrides , The tent kept us dry, however in moderate side winds the inner and outer touched a lot on the windward side, luckily it didn't rain ! The tent has only 3 guidelines,1 at the back and 2 at the front, which means you can't tension the sidewall of tent enough, a couple of guidelines on sidewalls would help and I may add some to the front as well. without wind the tent is great, But I will use my old Vango Zetes 300 more often as it handles the wind better.
Great tent - shame about the pegs!, 22 April 2013

Bought 3 of these for Bronze D of E groups. Split between 3, weight was good. Pitching was quick and straightforward even on first attempt and with inner separate. Generous head room meant 3 could sit in tent comfortably. Only let down was the poor quality of pegs - far too flimsy, no spares, and one of the tents was one peg short in the pack.
Fantastic Tent, 20 August 2012

I bought this tent for an extended motorcyle tour in Europe. I spent 31 Nights in this tent and i cannot fault it. It is simply to put up, As it goes up it one piece and only takes 5 minutes. It stood up to some serious weather and always kept me warm and dry. And after all the abuse i gave it, It still looks like new, Fantastic tent.
