Not Happy, 27 November 2011
By chrisbfc (burnley)
I purchased this as a light weight waterproof, I have not been happy with it from day one, I expected a lot better, I have had massive problems with the sleeves inside becoming dripping wet with water so much so last time i was out it was running on to my hands, even in th cold weather it does this,I wear the proper layers underneath as well I have emailed North Face and I am waiting a response,

A great Coat, 11 November 2011
By Andy (Bristol)
My job is a dog walker. I have had this coat for 2 years now and it is still going strong.

This coat may not be gor-tex but it does not have to be. This coat is completely waterproof. Other positive things are the elastic cuffs. They are comfortable and are more useful than Velcro straps. The hood is a decent size and folds nicely into a little hide away. This is a lightweight coat and can be easily packed away and not be noticed. The pockets are big to store keys, wallets etc.

The negative is that it is a short coat and you may need to buy a size above for a longer coat.

To keep this coat clean and waterproof I use Nikwak Tech wash and TX Direct.

This is a great coat well worth a purchase.

Fantastic Buy!!, 21 August 2011
By Avid Walker
A fantastic buy and a fantastic lightwight coat! Wore during a torrential storm at the top of Pen-y-Ghent and it coped extremely well! A good price normally but made even better by purchasing it at a Special Price during one of the fantastic Go Outdoors Sales!

Not so sure, 11 August 2011
By Maddox (Burton on Trent)
Ive had this jacket a few months now and used it for normal everyday use and day hikes. For this it has been fine, not great, but its coped.

Ive just completed the West Highland Way and my thoughts on this jacket haven't got any better. Either the jacket is not water proof or the 'Hyvent' system it has doesn't work at all. When i was wearing this jacket i would have to wring out my micro fleece every 20 mins or so, which tends to get annoying. What made it even more annoying was that the outside dried crazily quick, the inside however was a different story! This is my first North Face item of clothing (i've heard great things so wanted some for myself), i wont be going back again though. It seems to be that you're paying for the name in this instance. On the upside i got the blue one and love the colour!

Resolve Jacket, 31 July 2011
By Astra (Cheshire)
I bought this jacket as any other North Face clothing I've bought has been great, but this jacket was a disappointment. I wore it while walking on Skiddaw in moderate rain , it leaked at the seams and was soaked to the sking

By mllsharp (Bath)
This jacket is value for money, I needed a waterproof coat for walking my dogs when the weathers bad and this jacket met all my needs, light, strong, built in hood, deep pockets, wipe clean, breathable and looks and feel great.

Not Bad but........., 28 December 2010
By Campsie (South Shields)
This is not a bad jacket but be aware that you'll need to wear a fleece underneath it. It's quite thin yet 100% waterproof and very light in weight. Price wise it's a little pricey but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for"!! 10/10

Great if not a little expensive, 04 December 2010
By inked_maiden (Southampton)
I bought this as a light weight, all weather coat for wearing out and about with the kids. I dont drive so walk everywhere and get stuck in kinds of weather conditions.
It has kept me dry in very hard rain and it is big enough that I can wear my Berghaus fleece underneath (without buying a bigger size than normal.)
The hood it a decent size too for a fold away....a lot of fold away hoods barely go over my head.

My only gripe was the price at £55. But then its a North Face coat and has done me so well!

review, 23 September 2010
By kim (london)
i previously reviewed this product and gave it 3 stars but after use over a long period of time i have to say that this product is an absolute waste of money, the main point of this jacket is that it is waterproof but after just 10 mins in quite heavy rain it was soaked through making it pointless and its an even bigger disappointment being as it is a north face jacket

A decent lightweight waterproof, 10 May 2010
By Phil (Wolverhampton)
I use this jacket for running (when foolishly running in the rain) and light day hiking.

If you want a very lightweight waterproof jacket, then you can't go too wrong with this jacket. It's great for throwing in a backpack if you can't decide on what the weather's going to do, but make sure you've got a warm layer also. It's not going to keep you warm, but it will keep you dry.

The price point is a bit high, given the competition, but hey it's a North Face jacket :)

A cracking good jacket, 19 April 2010
By Nodrog48 (Co Durham)
The North Face Resolve is an excellent jacket suited to a range of activities.
Its light weight and its flexibility makes it possible to fold it and roll it so that it fits into a surprisingly small space, such as a side pocket on a daysack or an undersaddle pouch on a bike.
It's both windproof and showerproof, keeping you warm on those blustery days and dry when the weather is a bit uncertain.
The outer fabric is tough yet not rigid in any way. Inside is lined with a gauze. It has a zip front supplemented by poppers. The hood folds into the collar and while that can be a little bulky it is nowhere near as bad as many of its rivals.
Overall, this is a great little jacket which I would unhesitatingly recommend.

Classic Everday Shell, 26 January 2010
By Russ (North Lanarkshire)
Classic universal jacket for everyday use, smart yet very practical in design. Works just as well arround the office, as it does on low level walks through the glens. North Face has always been qaulity in my eyes, ever since I used to go to the factory sales in Port Glasgow all those years ago.
