Tested these out on a 8 mile walk in the peaks, even in the middle of summer they managed to keep my feet dry and very comfortable! Used to have a pair of brasher 4 season socks which still created some sore spots in my boots on long walks but with these I couldn't feel a thing! These are going to be my feet's best friends on the Coast to Coast walk next week!

Bought these about four years ago, I have had them up mountains, Skiing, long walks over the moors to standing at football matches during the winter months. I can not fault these socks at all, the most comfortable, warm socks I have worn, and still looking good. I will be definately sticking with this brand of sock and will be purchasing the medium version when purchasing a piar of trail shoes for every day walking in the near future.

Having selected 4 types of socks from go outdoors online, based on reviews, I went to the Coatbridge branch and choose these and 1000 mile. Having tried the 1000 mile and finding them good I tried the smartwool today on a 3 hour walk with my springer. To say I was impressed was an understatement they feel like having slippers on your feet, showing my age, I was wearing my Marmot boots and can say that after years I have found the perfect combination of footware. should my view change, though unlikely, after time I will update this review. The extra cost over other socks has justified itself.

Have worn these socks a few times now and they are really comfy. Well padded at the bottom to keep your feet dry and comfortable.
Excellent to wear with full mountain boots (B3). Feet never got cold in Scotland and they never got sweaty! On top of all this they don't smell! Highly recommended.

I love these, not just when I'm out and about. The picture actually doesn't show them in the best light: you'd have to peek inside to see how comfy they really are. The inside structure is amazing, really wrapping the foot in a layer of Merino goodness. Definitely recommended.
