....the plastic split where the velcro is attached after a handful of map changes. Disappointing.

Brought for a Bronze duke of Edinburgh expedition, and did us proud, no problem. I would reccomend somthing a little better for longer expeditions such as silver and gold.

Bought this as a replacement for a trusty old fabric and PVC map case for a walking trip to the Alps. Unfortunately the velcro became detached from the plastic on the first day and the plastic split completely on the second day.
Probably ok for one off / occasional use as it only costs a few pounds but we will be going back to our old (one sided) map case.

This product is excellent value for money if your using it for some basic walks in light rain.
But when it comes to heavy rain and regular loose it is not very hard wearing at all.
After a long w/e hiking in Snowdonia, the Velcro and stitching has all come undone by the time i had got home.
Will not be repurchasing

This was very good value for money. It stopped my map getting wet on a 47-mile walk in the rain and will show quite a few miles of your route on an OS walking map if you fold it so that front and back are showing the next two sections of your route.
