Good light, 04 October 2011
By all4cats (Hertfordshire)
We bought this lantern for our 1st camping trip. It lasted 4 nights, approx 2 hrs a night. The only down side was the fact it only shines 180 degrees. I know its obvious but just a thing to point out!! If it wasn't so heavy, you could hang it on the roof of your tent.
Left in the dark!, 30 August 2011
By Woo (Accy)
Bought this light after reading reviews and liked the idea of not having to carry loads of spare batteries.
Used for approx 2.5hrs (at most) and were left in the dark when the light made a little sound and went out. Tried to recharge it in car and nothing bulb seems to have gone, will be returning this to store asap. So spent 2nts with a little battery operated light we have as a night light hung up in porch and all having to use torches.
Not impressed, would have rated less than 1star if this had been possible, going by reviews it appears we have a faulty light, hopefully will be luckier with the replacement.

Double u tube rechargable lantern, 29 August 2011

Bought this when on offer, and wish i had bought another. Very bright, and the battery seems to last well. Just used ours for the 1st time while camping for a week, and recharged it in the car while out for a day trip. My daughters have just returned from a 4 night camping trip with Grandad, and the lamp still has life in it without a recharge. What more can i say....

Versatile rechargeable lamp, 28 August 2011
By Gail (Fife)
We were very impressed with this lamp from the outset. It comes with both AC and car chargers, and has very clear indicator LED which show when it is actively charging, and when it has reached full charge.
We used it for around 4 hours each evening, and it showed no signs of any dimming of the light over 4 evenings. I decided to recharge it at that point just in case, and it kept going through the rest of the week.
There is a small integral stand in the base, which allows it to recline backwards by 45 degrees, but I'd say in reality it is almost too bright for this, unless you are able to position it behind all users. We suspended it from a hanging loop on the roof of the tent, and it worked well there. I had specifically bought a hook to hang it from (as a previous user review noted there was no integral hook). My smug grin faded as I realised that the handle itself is so thick that the hook wasn't big enough to accommodate it. Improvisation with a cable tie around the handle sorted the problem, but to be honest the thickness of the handle seems a little excessive.
Otherwise great light, and would buy again

good value for money, 27 August 2011

very good bright light but can be a tad too bright hence the 4 stars.Very sturdy and when fully charged lasts all weekend camping, did however give full charge prior to going camping as opposed to charging on site. Also quite heavy but in all good value for money

I can only assume that there is some variation in quality with these lanterns. Mine certainly isn't as bright as some of the other reviews suggest. In a roughly 3m square room, there is enough light to avoid bumping into things but you can forget cooking or reading by it. Quite poor in fact.
Rechargable lantern, 09 August 2011
By Harry Potter (Stoke on Trent)
Saw cheaper options but reviews were mixed. So decided to go the next range up, slightly more expensive but well worth the extra few pounds. Charged it for the first time as per the instructions for 12 hours. We used the light from Friday Night until Sunday night without a recharge and it is as bright now as when we first switched it on. Definately good for use in the tent but excellant for finding our way from the tent to the campsiite facilities at night.
A camping must have!!!

may have same problem as review by alon18/08/2010,cannot seem to get full use of this light, tried to use this on camping holiday last week, but would not hold a charge even after several hours charging.Bought this last year and do not have receipt,so a little bit stuck on this one
My eyes -Oh God! not my eyes., 09 August 2011

Got to say I nearly mark this down because it is just too bright. Agree with previous review about moonlighting as a lighthouse for some extra cash. If the developers can read this I'd suggest some type of shade as this is a very bright exposed bulb. Easily as good as pendant lamp in your average room. Great product - 5/5 but maybe only 9/10 (if that makes sense)
Brill Light, 08 August 2011
By Becks22 (Swindon)
This lantern is 1 of the best things we have bought for our camping trips we have a big 10 berth tent and this 1 light is enough to light the whole tent well. It is very easy to use/charge and is very bright. would def recommend!!
Brilliant lantern, 30 July 2011
By Happy Camper (Leeds)
This lantern is brilliant in every way. As well as using it to light our tent, it'll help to offset the cost of our forthcoming trip to Brittany. I'm going to work every other night as a lighthouse -- provided, that is, that I can get hold of some pills to offset the dizziness I get after about 10 minutes on the job.

Great light. Seems to hold its charge well and then when pressed into action it keeps on going right through the night.

This is a good rechargeable light with a long lasting battery, very bright and easy to charge at home with plug or in car with adapter.
The one little bit of criticism is I'd like to have a hook on there to hang off the loops in the top of my tent but it's still a really good product

this has got to be the best rechargeable light on the market for this price, charged it up yesterday for the desired twelve hours then took it to bed switched on and it was still as bright this morning what more could you want from a light

bought one of these and it seemed to be next to useless, until I read these reviews. this spurred me to investigate and on returning for an exchange with no quibbling I realised mine had been faulty and was it does give off really good light.
