Petzl E-Lite Head Torch is a special design giving you total control and visiblity in the dark.
The E-lite is resistant to extreme temperature and comes with a protective carry case made from reinforced plastic. It is waterproof and therefore completely weatherproof with a coin sealing battery case.
At only 27g, the E-lite is incredibly lightweight and can shine up to 19m, lasting up to 45 hours.
With batteries included, the E-lite is ideal for any walker, runner or anyone likely to get caught in the dark.
Please Note: Petzl warn against the use of Lithium batteries in these head torches as they can overheat and damage the LED bulbs, and power drop-off occurs very quickly.

This torch is very light and even more versatile. The lamp can pivot 360 degrees and handy clip comes in handy. Although only 16 lumens i found this torch easily bright enough to walk with in the dark!

Very small and light head torch, great to keep as a spare just incase your main one breaks. The light that this gives off is very impressive!

The e+LITE is designed as a lightweight backup head torch, and at less than the weight of a set of replacement batteries for the Petzl Tikka or most other headtorches, it does that job admirably - My e+LITE has never yet let me down, and the battery supplied lasts for an amazingly long time. However, this headtorch does so much more. If you don't require the power of a 5-LED or a halogen light, the e+LITE still provides a good amount of illumination, including strobes in red or white light or a red beam (great if you're into animal watching). The case it comes in is lightweight, watertight and robust, and the strap is more comfortable and versatile than that on many other headlights including the zipka, which was my previous first choice. Also, the light is mounted on a brilliantly thought out swivel clip which can be used to attach the light onto almost any surface - or used as a stand. This is a great help in a tent as you can clip or tie the unit to just about anything and direct the light wherever you want. Replacement batteries are harder to find and more expensive than regular AAA batteries, but one cell lasts so long that I don't see this as a major downfall, especially in view of the incredible weight saving.
My only - minor - criticism of this fantastic value product are that the unit itself could be more waterproof. I've had my concerns when using mine in the rain, though it has to be said I've had mine for a couple of years now and never had an issue.
